Description
Build a city, construct your defences, hire soldiers, purchase upgrades, and use your powerful weapon to kill thousands of enemies as you build a spaceship in order to evacuate the planet... but will you survive long enough?
How to Play
Select the bulding you want to build and then click on the grey building foundation to build it. Alternatively, you can use the hotkeys (the numbers in green) to select your building, and to use the weapon. Pressing escape will exit any menus, building, or weapon currently on screen.
Developer Updates
14th February 2016 โ Update 1.2
Changelog:
- Boss enemies added to the game โ these will spawn periodically and soak up the damage and allow their fellow soldiers to attack your walls!
- Added a save/load feature for classic mode.
- Upon loading a saved game, you are given all of the resources earned in your saved play through and 30 seconds of peace time to re-build your city before the enemy resumes their attack.
- The total number of resources gained (or lost) is now displayed above the current amount of resources you have.
- Level 1 and Level 2 Farms and Water towers can now be deleted. Simply click on the buildings for information about them, the option to delete them will be found there.

The game has an basic flaw and I wish I knew how to fix it without breaking the game. Simply put it is WAY too repetitive. It's not that there isn't enough to do, exactly. But past the first few minutes the enemies are so numerous that it seems that twice a second it's swipe with saw. Check resources, swipe with say. Open menu, swipe with saw. Swipe again. Look to see which item I need, swipe with saw. Click the item, swipe. WTF to put it? Swipe. There's a spot, swipe. Put it there, swipe. After half an hour of that I was kind of done. I tried to figure out a way to get the troops and guns to keep up but... every time I did the enemies got more numerous. I do not know if the game scales to defenses or if my timing is just awful. Anyway... Maybe "arcade" mode is better for the build up but if everything is sped up I have no idea how I would keep up. But... I'm slow. In any case, I like the concept. But... *shrug*
Thank you for the detailed feedback! There have been changes made to the game in response to some of these issues, for example barracks now spawn 4 soldiers instead of 2, this helps to reduce the need to keep spamming the weapon. The cost of barracks and turrets have also been reduced, so they are available earlier in games. Combined with the upgrades being fixed and boosting fire rates of soldiers and turrets, the base should now be able to defend itself properly when fully upgraded!

I beat the game. Agreed with bravesfan that stone is too scarce. It's the limiting factor for almost every upgrade and late-game purchase. Conversely, metal is used practically not at all. By the time I won I had 15k+ metal doing nothing for me, and I think I must have only ever spent it on spaceship parts and one turret. Maybe a few upgrades.
The game has lots of bugs, especially relating to upgrades. Most of them charge something other than what they say they charge. Some of them I'm pretty sure have no effect. Some of them I couldn't buy at all no matter how many resources I had. Spaceship parts also charge something other than what it says, but the difference is that it will still let you buy it (putting your resources into negative values).

Firefox crashed on me. and nothing was saved, about 45 min into a classic game. not gonna start a new one. Should have a save feature.
I'm sorry to hear that - in the next update an automatic save feature will be added to classic mode in case things like this happen in the future. If you ever feel like trying the game again after the next update it should be there!

Potentially great game. 1. Fix bugs (e.g. +50% metal production upgrade doesn't increase metal production) 2. Hotkey to *toggle* spinny blade 3. Might be my (old) PC but I found it almost impossible to kill blobs by clicking once there were a lot (30+) on the screen, even with an autoclicker. I'm going to guess that's framerate based on sluggish menus, but possibly the blob hitbox is too small? I really like this, it's a neat idea, looks nice, plays well......it's just..... It feels like a game made without any playtesting, and it's harder to play than it should be.
Thanks for your feedback - there has now been an update released that should fix the bug where upgrades were not increasing production, hotkeys have been added for the weapon and all buildings, and the escape button now exits any menu, building mode, or weapon to help make the UI seem more responsive. I will also look into further optimisation of the game, for example I will be adding the ability to turn off the floating text which I think will help!

The game also needs to improve the ui a bit. It takes a long time to close some menus, and to cancel your spinning blade weapon. You could probably solve both of those issues by allowing the escape key to turn off the blade and close any open menus / cancel build mode.
Lastly, if I put a level 2 building on top of a level 1 building, do I get a refund for the level 1 or not?
Overall though it's a good concept, generally well executed, and a generally fun game.
Your feedback is very much appreciated - I am aiming to put out an update within the next couple of days that I hope will address some of the issues you and others have mentioned and help make the game a little more refined!
