Description
1) Find a friend. 2) Shoot him (or her). SPACEOFF is an addictingly competitive local 2 player arcade shooter with gamepad support
Play by sharing a keyboard or enhance your experience with xbox controllers. I always thought the PC community was lacking a selection of local multiplayer games, so I decided to fill that gap.
This is a fun quick play for when you and your bud have a few minutes to spare. Fast paced and very competitive.

Taking screenshots of this game's descriptions so when people ask why I shot my friend, I can show them that its what the game told me to do

oh goodness, you could make a game out of trying to control both craft yourself. so taxing.
I'm working on an update that provides a more comfortable control option

Is that proper inertia physics I spot when shooting and moving forward after thrusting? As in, the bullets slow you down because it's decelerating you slightly with every shot?
haha unfortunately it's not. I wish. Bullet velocity is instantaneous when it spawns and is always constant. That being said, the original version of the game had realistic, space-like "an objet in motion will stay in motion" movement physics. When you stopped accelerating you continued moving at the same velocity indefinitely, you needed gas to steer, and if you rotated without gas you would just spin while moving the same direction. It was too hard to control the craft. Without friction to slow the craft down there was no max speed so eventually both players would end up bouncing uncontrollably quickly around the room in a ridiculous and hilarious manner, and any attempt to gain control would just add to the overall speed and make it worse.
