Description
Relive your days spent in elementary school trying to make your way to the west coast in Oregon Trail, only this time, youโll be headed to California for gold, and youโll be taking the lesser known Upper California trail. The journey is filled with ruthless savages, unforgiving venereal diseases, and even monsters. You have little chance of making it to California alive.
How to Play
// Gold Rush can be played mostly with a keyboard, but youโll also need to use your mouse to select your sex and the names of your family members, and to clear the messages you receive while youโre on the trail. // > Restart game โ R > Hunting - Point hunter 45 degrees to the left โ LEFT ARROW - Point hunter directly forwards โ UP ARROW - Point hunter 45 degrees to the right โ RIGHT ARROW > Fire gun โ SPACE > Fishing > Reel fish in โ SPACE > Dueling > Move gun up โ UP or RIGHT ARROW > Move gun down โ DOWN or LEFT ARROW > Fire gun โ SPACE // Effortless Mode - โEffortless Modeโ can be selected by clicking on the small green light in the bottom right hand corner of the introduction screen. When in effortless mode, you can make time go faster while on the trail and you can even add more food supplies with the touch of a button. The game is also tweaked so that a number of tasks are easier. While hunting, you are able to carry up to 150 pounds of food instead of the regular 80, the giant Yeti monster moves slower when it runs at you, the Mojave warrior doesnโt draw his gun quite so quick, and the glint of gold will always appear in the gold mine at the end of the game. // > On the Trail > Skip day โ D > Add food โ F > Dueling > Pause โ P
