Either playing for Humans or Aliens, battle your way up the ranks by doing various types of missions, buying and upgrading ships, buying and installing a large range of weapons and utilities, creating gangs, mining asteroids, and also fighting against real people from around the world in the multiplayer sectors (MP sectors now removed). There is a large galaxy to explore, divided into 400 sectors containing space stations, planets, black holes, worm holes and more.
Due to hackers ruining everything, SF:DG is now single player only and will remain here for badge purposes. I am no longer supporting this game and cannot guarantee that the accounts won’t all be deleted again, but I have spent all morning improving security, so hopefully that will help.
I have decided that it would be much better for me to spend my time on new projects rather than trying to keep this old game alive. I hope to release a sequel at some point in the future, with much imporved security, so lookout for it. LOVE the auto pilot! That is one thing that I have raged over in space games like this for YEARS! My only complaint is that the weapons info takes so long to load. But if that is all I can come up with this is a great game!5/5 and faved

Even without multiplayer, this remains one of my favorite games on Kongregate because of the vast variety possible. I'll be interested to see what Ben comes up with for the next version. It would be interesting if there were "escort," "station defense" and "station assault" mission types. Maybe missions where you engage in pitched AI battles (a dozen small ships fighting on both sides, pre-established minefields, AI dreadnoughts fighting each other, etc), or more utilitarian missions where you're tasked to protect mining vessels from enemy raiders while they work, or to see freighters through dangerous territory. Maybe there could be sectors where you're flying close to a star that damages you if you get too close, or you have to avoid crashing into planets and asteroids.
