Under rating threshold (show) I'd be a jerk if I didn't come back and try the game again after the developer responded to my comment and updated the game so here goes: MUCH better! Classic mode was actually fun this time and I felt challenged and Armageddon mode was chaotic right out the gate (which is what I expect given the title). I could only reach wave 15 before my cruddy laptop started lagging though. It'd be nice to have a better idea of what is going on or if I'm progressing through the game. What's the point? Is there an end? I also found the two upgrades (forward diagonal then rear diagonal) shots to be insufficient for keeping up with the flow of enemies. Still, decent foundation for a shooter. Good work. :)

Hello again. Glad to see that the improvements are in the right way. Waves chaining is fast for now, I'm considering adding some text between waves to show the player he just finished one, with a few seconds break. There is also an optimization problem when you play a long time which make the game lag. I'll handle it. Thanks again for your feedback!

Under rating threshold (show) This game is TERRIBLE. I haven't been this bored in a long time. I didn't see a new enemy until wave 6 nor did I receive a single upgrade until then. The next new enemy was on wave 11. I was finally hit on wave 12 and lost my one upgrade and said, "Screw this." You need more enemies, more bullets, more upgrades, a pause button, and an in-game mute button.

Hello OldeSword! The classic mode waves are easy and take time to get harder. I'll change that to get them becoming harder quickly. I'll add pause and mute shortcuts in game too. About powerups and difficulty, try the Armageddon mode, you may find challenge here. Thanks for your feedback.

Under rating threshold (show) Movement doesn't seem to work right. I can go up and right at the same time, but the other diagonal combinations don't work.

All diagonals movements are possible.

Under rating threshold (show) WASD doesnt work. Why make aus use booth hands if one could work just as well? Or just give us auto-fire, i see no reason to hold down a button all the time.

An auto fire shortcut yes. This may correct the impossible diagonal on some keyboards. About the WASD, the game is meant to be played with arrows as explained in the instructions. Thanks for the feedback.

Under rating threshold (show) Very nice! I like the sound and the graphics. Some formations and more enemy types would be cool though - maybe also that the enemies come from more than one direction. It might also be good to limit the player bullets to the screen (you can do this be onscreen or simply be "destroy if y > +50" or the value that fits the game :)

Under rating threshold (show) good game, needs a few things, greater variety in enemies, played up to wave 5 so far, haven't seen a difference in enemy count nor kind, upgrades/powerups should last a little longer and maybe fall down the screen a somewhat, its a mad rush to get to them, personally i like lots o guns but this game doesn't need it i would just like it XP

Hi! I already thought about getting the powerups go down the screen to be easier to pickup. This will be part of the v1.3. I'll also add a little more lifespan for them. About enemies variety, there are 3 types, appearing at wave 1, 6 and 11. About the amount, each wave gets more enemies but the spawn time is the same (it lowers as the waves go on). As I want to keep the game in a pure arcade spirit, i'm not ok about adding experience feature. However adding more weapons would be nice. And also new enemies as well. Thanks for your feedback! :-)

Under rating threshold (show) v1.2 is out. If you played the first versions, try again now, the gameplay is much better now. (by the way, if you do, don't forget to change your rating if needed!)

Under rating threshold (show) Good fun, but definitely needs improvement if you want to see more people playing your game. An options menu is needed AS A MINIMUM, but other feature are also required for that replay-ability factor that you are trying to achieve. Other suggestions: Make Armageddon mode slightly easier! For me (a bog standard player) this is way too difficult. Alternatively, make more options about the difficulty. Secondly, An upgrades system would be nice (possibly a menu for that too?). General improvement needed, but some things are good; there is potential! I give it at the moment 3/5.

As long as you can only change Sounds and Music playing, a settings menu is not needed (I guess). I don't want to add an upgrade menu/system because Galaxy Defender is a pure shooter, not a shooter-rpg. The Armageddon mode is hard, deal with it.
