Without mouse control the handling of the game is really bad. Its not moving smoothly. Buying more speed even make it worse. With mouse control you can determine how fast you want to move. As it is now you just can move on max speed thus you have huge problem if you just want to move a small distance or rather you will chrush into the next opponent after avoiding a shoot. A tail will kill you and a "wrong" opponent will break your trinity attack.

Guys, if you die here's a great tip: There will be a semi black screen, so you can still see your char moving and all the enemies, just keep playing and you'll suddenly appear again in the game, at the next lvl... + this if you want everyone to know!!!! :DD

Tip: You get your shield recharged whenever you buy the upgrade, so it's better to be down to no shield before buying the second or third shield upgrade, but be fast on the pause key so you don't double up on the screw ups and lose a life.

There's a lack of balance in normal mode, by the way... the rate at which you score points accelerates, while the cost of lives remains constant. The result is that if you can make it past stage 4, it only gets easier from there, as long as you remember to pause and buy 4 more lives every time you die. If extra lives started out cheaper and got more expensive later, that would be another story. Or it would be acceptable as an especially challenging game to keep the 1st one at 20k points and have it get pricier from there.

Good game, should have mouse control, Its option to use a Xbox controller is cool and it has good philosphy. I give it a 3/5.

I played this game a long time ago as well. When I started again, the music brings back the memories as well as the experience. Boosting in this game is essential. Especially when fighting those snakes. Sometimes boosting can even get you through a wall of bullets. To beat this game requires a little bit of luck as well as updating yourself constantly.

Just remembered this game the other day... There are fun games, and there artsy games, and there are hard games, but this is just uniquely everything. Love the way everything escalates, the music is pretty cool. It's like the best existentialism propaganda ever or something.

By the way guys, boost is really handy in crappy situations. Slowing down is not a good idea. That only makes it more likely you'll get hit. On the other hand, boost can sometimes make you invincible from incoming projectiles.
