Description
For those of you that know me from my site, you know this game has been a long-time coming...
Read through the "making of process here,":http://fortheloss.org/category/game-updates/defective/ where you'll see things like "videos of the characters being drawn":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9gsImEUB3A and what the game "used to look like.":http://fortheloss.org/images/defective-enemies-completed.gif
Hope you enjoy it! I know I enjoyed making it!
*Summary:*
As a "defective" minion ship, you find yourself discarded to a recycling center to be scrapped for parts. Fight your way through wave after wave of enemy ships to get to the three boss's who sent you away.
*_Utilize your special ability to transform into enemy ships and use their own attacks against them to get your revenge!_*
*_Also, try to find the two upgrades hidden throughout each level to automatically increase things like acceleration, bullet damage, fire-rate, etc..._*
How to Play
The game allows you to choose between two control schemes, Mouse & Keyboard or Keyboard Only.
_Mouse & Keyboard:_
* Accelerate ... Up/Down or W/S
* Rotate ship ... Mouse
* Use weapon ... Click
* Transform ... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
* Pause ... ESC or P
_Keyboard Only:_
* Accelerate ... Up/Down or W/S
* Rotate ship ... Left/Right or A/D

Completely and entirely unnecessarily fiddly-arse control scheme. No.
Okay :( (Nah but like I mentioned down below somewhere, the movement should have been tweaked.)

control seem a little touchy for the tight openings you need to get through but ok game 3/5
Yeah, in hindsight, the movement for the ship should have been made a lot easier. After seeing the feedback, that's probably the number one thing that should have been tweaked.

Great game, though endless spawning enemies and endless lives per level make it a little unbalanced. It almost seems enemies spawn faster than you can kill them so it is a more dash to the finish over fight your way through.
Good points. I suppose being that I played this game nonstop during development, I was "good" enough that I was able to completely annihilate any enemy that dare cross my path with ease.

I don't really understand that WASD isn't the movement scheme, and the ship movement has unneeded drift. Could've been a lot better.
The game allows for two different control schemes (technically 3, actually). It allows you to choose when starting a new game and you can switch to a different one in the pause (P) menu. It's mouse to steer and shoot + W/S or Up/Down or keyboard only (either WASD or Arrows + Space to shoot).
