Under rating threshold (show) First of all, gotta say I liked the game. 5/5. Now since that's out of the way, we can talk about improvements. 1: Inventory room. Way too limited. At least make equipped gear go in a separate window, which adds to point 2: Show what kind of equipment stuff is. I had to buy half the stuff in the store just to sell it back because I didn't know what part of me it equipped to. 3: Make speed more useful. Its only use is the very first hit of battle. Make speed add movement as well or a chance to go twice. 4: NERF DEFENSE. Game was too easy. Max DEF first and final boss hardly hits you at all, and when it does, it hits 4 max, which is rare.

Under rating threshold (show) Pretty good game. The only thing that I find annoying about it is the small inventory the more items you equip to your vulpin the smaller the inventory becomes. I would suggest adding a item inventory that holds nothing but weapons and armor that way they are not taking up tons of space in the already small inventory. Also items like the the banapple and stuff that you can get lots of should be made to fill 1 spot instead of 1 item per slot that really hurts the inventory space maybe 5 or 10 banapples and other items to a slot that would really help keep the inventory open and you can keep collecting longer.

Under rating threshold (show) I had fun with this game, but it was a bit too easy. I discovered early that all you really need to do is max out the defense stat as fast as possible. I finished the game with 25 max HP (which I didn't really need; probably could have gotten away with less), relying on weapons for my attack stat, a tiny bit of speed (what does speed do, anyways?) and everything essentially hitting me for 0. Even the final boss only got two or three hits on me for more than 0 and they were 2 or 3 damage each. I didn't have to heal at all. I would suggest nerfing defense a bit so the other stats become a bit more important. I rarely used any spells. I basically just played the game stacked on defense and using the attack command all the way through.

Under rating threshold (show) Great game for a first attempt, liked the graphics and easy to get into. I would suggest maybe adding an evolution into it so when your creature gets to certain level it changes into something else, maybe depending on what stats it has and have been improved making different creatures. Just a suggestion.. 4/5

Under rating threshold (show) @Firequill: I absolutely LOVE the visual style, not to mention the quirky colourfulness of it all (are you into MLP: FiM by any chance?). The items are whimsical and fun and the whole game has a certain *look* to it which, were you able to replicate it, I'm sure could soon become your hallmark. The stats are the only real problem here. I suggest taking one of two paths: either make games which don't rely on stats (like Point'n'Click, or Puzzling, both of which your picture-booky style would work well with) or, if you're desperate to continue making stat-driven games, have a talk with one of your friends who's majorly into D&D, or take a look at the stat mechanics of some of the highest-rated RPG games right here on Kong. This is one of the few times that I'm genuinely excited to see more from a certain creator. I don't know if this is your debut game, but that's how it feels: I'm sure there are great things in your future, Firequill. Just keep at it - you're doing a great job. ;D

Under rating threshold (show) This game is very fun for me. The only suggestions I have are 1. Speed also affects walking speed. 2. Defense is 0.5 or 0.6 times as strong. 3. Pet evolves. (But that wouldn't be necessary, this is really just a suggestion for a sequel, if it would be made.) 4. More inventory space. 16 slots would be good. It's like my only game favourited. Good job Firequill. A sequel with more areas would be amazing. Good luck on later games!

It increases your critical hit chance and decides who goes first in battle. Not incredibly useful, though I'll hopefully make the stats work out better in future games.

Under rating threshold (show) Here is the info I have on the last 4 Achievements. 1st one I still do not know. 2nd one, "Versitile" Read all the skill books out there. Besides the ones dropped by bosses and the ones bought there are 3 others. Heal is dropped from the anubis looking dogs in the 2nd area of the fire land. Lunar rain and Sunburst are from the black and white dragons in the last area. 3rd badge is for getting all the colors. You can get access to them from mobs in the last area before a boss in each zone (except the 5th zone that is) 4th badge is awarded for maxxing out all stats. I will post further if I figure out what the first one of the four is later.

Under rating threshold (show) Why is it that an equipped item remains in the inventory? Especially with such limited inventory space, that would be a great and quick improvement. Abilities are great, but make the elemental advantages a little more noticeable; I'm doing the same damage with a regular attack as with an "advantageous" element attack. I agree with a previous post to have the creature evolve at some point, but I do also like the way you have the AP gained and raise levels of HP, attack, etc. I also never seemed to need the defense ability (but that may just be me since I like to tank offense). 5/5 though considering how good it is already.

Under rating threshold (show) Perhaps add something so you can see which items will overlap eachother. For example have each weapon say "Main-Hand", and those rings "Tail", so you know that if you buy a new ring it will overlaps your old ring, and if you get the Flame you'll know it'll overlaps your ring.

Under rating threshold (show) Great but you could stack items like myuhunny said, and like everyone else says, tune down defense because I leveled defense max and health to 20 and everyone just hits 0 and I had about 60 points left and when you equip, it dissapears and to unequip you would just click the item on the vulpin and it would unequip. Im also hoping you'll make a sequel improving everything listed by everyone. Overall this gets my 5/5 for awesome game!! Footnote: Improve inventory!

I've been finding it annoying not having a return to menu button thing myself. I might consider adding something like that if I do more bug fixes, and will keep it in mind for future games.

Under rating threshold (show) The game is really good-looking, this is really an ideal that I intend to shoot for if I ever make a game, all the visuals come together in an amazing combination that just works so well. The gameplay is a little on the easy side because the stats are really easy to raise and defense is overpowered, I think mardek prevented overpoweredness by making most of the power come from abilities you had to learn and then you had to choose which abilities to use, which forced customization and strategy. This is definitely quality work though.

Apart from the ones that require defeating bosses, the remaining require: -Full Palette: unlock all colours (find maps that unlock secret areas containing brushes) -Diligent: max out all the stats -Versatile: learn all spells from books (there's 15 of them, some can be bought, others are drops) -Animal Lover: basically stroke the vulpin a lot (i got this by stroking the pet after defeating the final boss)

Under rating threshold (show) Heard about you from Pseudo (my profile is Raligon on fighunter). Surprising, I know. Anyway, nice game. 5/5. Lots of really funny moments (such as the stick would easily succumb to the ravages of fire). If you do a future game of this variety, I'd really appreciate: a separate inventory system for what I have equipped, areas where the enemy's elements are less predictable, more slots for abilities (attack, defend, meditation, and heal seem 100% required late game then I only have two slots left...), a magic stat, a more involved story line, the speed stat to influence my walking speed, and more of the same variety of humor. I'm sure you have your own ideas though.

Under rating threshold (show) What I am noticing is that while JustinDark and vincentp are right, and defense is WAY op, don't neglect attack while maxing defense. I'm midway through the beach zone, and the snoroceros is proving tough... Only because I can't hit it.

Under rating threshold (show) For ingame achievements: First 5 achievements are for beating each of the bosses 6 is unknown to me 7 is for learning all spells (beat all bosses, buy all spells, and wait for light and dark spells to drop from dragons in last dungeon) 8 is for unlocking all the four additional colors (black, pink, blue, and white) by unlocking hidden areas (there will be a bushbeast in each of the first 4 dungeons kill it, and you get a map) 9 is for maxing all stats
