So it's a cool game with a cool idea (and I love how in the opening bits with credits the words stay in the dark after being revealed), but dang the character just moves so unbearably slowly. I feel like I'm playing everybody's gone to the rapture, but even less intentional. From comments, it seems like it's because the game is super CPU hungry and not actually something intentional, which is a shame. Apparently I've gotten to level 9 sometime in the past, according to the badge status. I'll give it a decent go and get as far as I can but so far it seems like it'll be rough

That was a nice little story and it was great to see some of the most influential Flash gaming names again in the credits.

I barely even made it to the title screen this miserable P.O.S. is so bloody huge and bloated with its CPU-devouring code! This isn't a game. This is troll-bait.

Also, we know that this game was made for newgrounds. You probably like newgrounds a lot. I respect newgrounds. But could you really not be bothered to change the description of the game to NOT say "here on newgrounds"? It's basically dissing every single person on this site, and is the sole reason I will not be buying your game and supporting you. As far as I'm concerned, Kongregate is more of a gaming community that Newgrounds, which dabbles in plenty of other things. Gaming isn't even its top priority, even though it's what it's most known for. I don't wanna keep going off on a rant against Newgrounds, just... don't be so blatantly rude to us. Not a great first introduction to your players.

A really cool concept, the first couple levels were just so slow that they were hard to even play through. To make a puzzle game really great, you need to give the player freedom to actually solve those puzzles, without punishing them so hard for failure (the punishment is having to redo everything so slowly, which I know wasn't meant as a punishment, but still).

The first couple levels are alright, enjoyable even, but quickly, because of slow character movement, trial and error, and no mute button the game becomes tedious and annoying quickly. I appreciated the added bit of atmosphere thrown into the last few levels but it was too little too late as far as I'm concerned as by that time I only continued playing for the badge and not for my own enjoyment.

Weak but decent atmosphere. I like how if you idle long enough, the character jumps as if frightened - it startled me once - and the way the flickering lights create uncertainty. But I was disappointed that that was it. I expected to be chased at some point, and for the dude in the final room to try to kill me somehow. The ending felt a bit weak because of that, as well as confusing. The main problem the game has is that it's sooo slow. Those same flickering lights (and the moving lights) are what I imagine ate up a lot of processing power and bandwidth, and this game was less fun because it was so laggy.

If it's my computer that's making this run so slow well that's on me. But if it isn't than this is one of the most lame games I've ever played! It's boring, slow, unimaginative and I wouldn't have the patience nor would I make the time to even consider trying all 30 levels. This game at best is like one level above pong! I took my 15 points and never looked back!

If you liked this flash version, you should definetely try out the steam version or the PSN version of this. The game is much improved, the story is split up between 3 characters you can morph into and you become a spider-like creature instead of this human. The full game is WAAAAY better, you should really give it a go!

LvL Ten, Exlained.
Step 1. Pick up the black orb. Put it in the holder, and immediately pick up the white orb.
Step 2. Walk to the tree and drop the white orb, then walk to the right a bit and wait for the moving holder to drop and bounce back up. Then pick up the orb that is in the moving holder after it rises back up.
Step 3. Quickly drop the dark orb and run over to pick up the white orb and place it in the moving holder. Then follow the holder over to the door. Don't forget to jump.
Thumbs up this comment to keep it alive.
