To everyone wondering about unit evolutions and upgrades, I have discovered an answer. I was curious myself, so I did a short test. I upgraded dodge of the barracks all the way up to 60% and then evolved the regular soldiers into knights. I watched as both knights took tons of hits from orcs without dodging a single time. So, don't buy upgrades if you're planning on evolving a unit. They seem to only affect that tier unit. Example: Fire Arrows will only apply to archers not fire throwers.
Tip: For more gold and faster waves, click the button before the wave automatically starts.

The upgrades are not too clear for me... are all the lvl1 bonuses gonna be replaced when I upgrade a unit in a building? Or they carry over to lvl2 units?
For example, if you build a barrack, you either upgrade melee instantly to knight, or upgrade their skills.

So either you lose the money you spent on basic traits in a building when you upgrade to second level char, or in latter case, there's no way to upgrade traits that were available beforehand.

Which one is it?

Would love an answer to what happens to your lvl 1 upgrades when you upgrade a building to lvl 2.

I came into it with no expectations but was very pleasantly surprised! A very balanced game difficulty-wise, however it may even be slightly on the relaxed side (with the 55% requirement for 3 coins). Nevertheless it caught my attention from start to finish.

Nevertheless, very enjoyable, it is rare to see a game balance its various mechanics well. It seemed like every class and skill was usable and effective, allowing for people to choose their own path with no problem. The music and character/monster designs were also on-point, and I loved the way the pixel-art revealed itself in the unit upgrade page. Great game, 5/5!
