Pirate Defense is a tower defense game with a twist: traps! Use powerful trap combinations to send your pirate enemies through a whirlwind of pain… as well as earn you big gold rewards and points! Can you stop the pirate waves from reaching the top of the screen?

Videos, tooltips, a sample level, and a tutorial are provided in the game.
Primarily you use the mouse to lay down traps. Use “Linkage” to enter linkage mode and connect triggers to traps to set them off. Hotkeys are also provided and can be changed through settings. ‘P’ for Pause.

Oh, and here are some tips for the 101 badge: First of all, instead of using the Crates, place Palm Tree Traps (without triggers). They serve as walls and take up twice the space as Crates do, but cost the same amount of Gold. Also, the easiest way to finish the 101 unscathed is to place traps like so oXoXoXoX where the o's are triggers and the X's are Hot Coals. Additionally, if you are like me and used the Palm Tree Method to create a maze and walls and whatnot, you can hook the triggers to the Trees for additional damage. Then, for more damage, place Swings at the end of your tunnel of Coals for additional damage- this makes the pirates have to go through your tunnels twice!

To win the Show us Your Booby Traps Badge, build your defense and then send as many waves as possible at once (I managed to get the badge in three batches: first 10/15 waves to build a defense, then 15/20 waves at once, wait for all monsters to be killed and finally send the last 20/25 waves at once. Don't forget to upgrade your defense with the money you receive!

Excellent game, but the "Show Me Your Booby Traps" Badge should, in my opinion, be an impossible badge. I got several combo tallies and the only lives I lost were from 2 Captains on the final wave because I was busy staring at my score instead of upgrading my defense. My final score was 88260, which is about 70000 under the limit for the badge. Don't get me wrong, the game is funny, awesome, and addicting. In fact, it is one of my favorite games on the site. I just think that the "Booby Traps" Badge is too hard to be a "Hard" badge. I'm not just saying that, either- I was able to finish the 101 Achievement on my third try, but I have attempted this challenge about 10 times now to no avail.
