Under rating threshold (show) I've been playing for a couple hours and the only really bad thing is that there's no place to heal or restore MP. It'd be nice to have an Inn or to heal when you level up. I haven't used any skills because I'd just be burning through potions. I love the game, though. Keep making RPGs. This is a great start.

I'll be sure to include an inn if I ever make another rpg. :P I was trying to make potions useful but I probably should have just included inns and ditched the potions from the sounds of it, lol. Stay cool, thanks!

Yeah, I know party gathering probably would have been more fun, but it also would have been a lot harder to code, haha. ^_^ At least I made the training area fights really easy.

Under rating threshold (show) Comment part 1: Game has potential: Really nice graphics, a workable story, and a lot of well developed systems. However, it is also riddled with annoying points. Lots of random battles, and lots of unneccessary clicking. In battles, you constantly have to wait for the actions bar to come up from the bottom of the screen before you can use it, which means battles take a lot longer than they could. I would make it come up almost instantly after the player chooses an action, so the player can plot his next action while the previous character is doing his attack.

Under rating threshold (show) A very enjoyable game overall, promising for the future. Here's what could be improved: 1. the interface. The equipment system is not intuitive at all. Also, it's not easy to determine the enemy's weakness: a more visible description of what element is a given skill or maybe ditching the scan could be more profitable. 2. Except for heal spells, and a stun here or there, the spells overall were'nt that useful. That coupled with the fact that you rely only on mana potions to heal, means that you're really not gonna use a wide variety of spells at all. (ae) Buffs? Debuffs? Maybe conjure? Poison? 3. The difficulty curve is always uneasy to balance, but overall the game almost never felt really challenging. Not too easy, but not hard enough imo. That being said, I played for a few hours so you did a really good job, kudos to you, I hope you make more games. Also, minor glitch found: if you teleport home while being in a cave, you will remain in darkness forever (not cool ^^).

Under rating threshold (show) The menu freeze bug seems to be caused by going to character equipment and just checking equips, not changing equipment. When you actually change the equipment it doesn't freeze. Hope this helps. + So Dev. can see it

Under rating threshold (show) A Huchukalaki Drink costs 15 Rooks and give +50 MP. if used with Cinnacat and Quickbrew skill you can heal all your party members for +70HP. Later with Sunrise skill you can heal all your party full (or near full) at the cost of 15 Rooks. Its not an Inn but i think is better. a portable and very cheap one that you can even use in battle :D. I had fun finding that out. i only use other skills in boss fight or near dead situations. i love how the party art changes with equipment. only thing to criticize is the lack of any keyboard shortcuts. a button for opening the menu should be a good start. Space for mute was not really expected but its a great game, both the story and art is lovely and the gameplay is pretty fun. You may consider adding more musics

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting story, fun gameplay, good music, and beautiful artwork. It's very clear you spent a lot of time working on this game, and the result is quite good. If I may make a suggestion for improvement: BATTLE SYSTEM NAVIGATION: The world map navigation using the mouse and wasd keys is well done, and if incorporated into the battle system, the way battles are fought would be much smoother. I like having left mouse be 'confirm' and how you can use the mouse to choose which enemy you'd like to attack. If wasd was incorporated to navigate the battle menu in combination with a 'yes' button like 'n' and a 'no' button like 'm' with the mouse being the final confirmation, battles would be faster, smoother, and more fun. Speed is clearly a factor when the enemies are not programmed to ever be in 'wait mode.'

Under rating threshold (show) over all a pretty nice game. one suggestion tho perhaps you could put hot keys in during battles? like s to activate skills menu and then skills listed 1-9 or however many you have, and same for items. and just use shift or something for attack. its just on a laptop with a touch pad it gets annoying on the fingers. also the random battles are a little frequent. on some old school rpgs like goden sun i believe it was you could turn up or down the random encounters depending if you wanted xp faster. i think it would be a nice addition as i have often found random battles to be far to frequent. + if you agree

Under rating threshold (show) What I would like to see : 1) an offensive skill for Cinnacat. i maxed his magic hoping he would get one, and all I got was an useless character with 2 attack. 2) a way to recover mana that doesn't cost money. Basically the way you do it now is like paying money to use your skills instead of mana, and 3) More info on each character's stat gain : hy do Fizzle and Coal gain much more damage per point than the others? it has never been explained.

Under rating threshold (show) nice game like the good old rpg style but pls give us a option to reduce the graphics played it on the laptop of my girlfriend and it was a bit slow -.- it have taken 10 sec every time i won a battle another thing is the mana give us a inn or something its really annoying that you have always just to auto attack and so the level up system is not so smart too cause its better to level up strengh on the most for a nice resulation all in all i give you a 4/5 but it could be easy to get the last star too ;) PS: more of this nice rpg´s lovin it :D

Under rating threshold (show) an "auto-attack"-button would be nice, also that the save-ground would restore mana and hp. "nerd mode on" Fjor's sword would never fit in that sheath/scabbard "nerd mode off" the battle fade out is a bit long, but inspite all off this very good work!

Under rating threshold (show) Very buggy and clunky, but the art and story (as with all your games) is fantastic. I think with some tweaking you could make the gameplay smoother/less buggy, but I suspect you will probably just stick to your comfort zone of point-and-click games--which is fine, you make some of the best ones out there. :)

Under rating threshold (show) Lol, starting off with a five party team consisting of a medusa- an attractive one at that XD, the one that started the adventure, a catman that serves as the cleric, a mole-like person, and a badass looking guardian with a ball and chain as a weapon- but looks a lot less under the helmet (Love the guy still). I say you really made a great rp- including the cute beholder following them. If anything, the problems with the game are already stated- my main ones being a lack of an inn. Otherwise, i look forward to seeing more games like this- especially with colorful and variety of characters!

Thanks for the comment and feedback. I'll very likely be using these characters in other games as well, I grew to like them a lot. In fact, Cinnacat is in several of my other games already, check out Guild Dungeons some time. He's one of the heroes in that game. ^_^

Under rating threshold (show) kindly add a quality change from high to low settings... its best for fast playing especially casting spells, character movement, battle animations.... a strategy need whose hero goes first.. i like casting AOE spells for killing enemies FASTER.... ^^

Under rating threshold (show) Comment part 2: Increasing the size of the actions bar might be a good idea as well, so that it is easier to choose your actions. The smaller it is, the longer it takes to align the mouse correctly, and the less obvious it becomes that this is the main interaction area with the battle interface. (Case in point, the Pokémon games. There, the actions bar takes a significant portion of the screen) One final thing I'd like changed is to let the player now what kind of game he or she is playing a bit faster. Here, it begins with a rather drawn out introduction, then you move around, without any clear instructions (I clicked everything. Since the first room has no interactable elements, you don't realize interactables are made green when you hover over them). Finally, it takes a lot of time before the random battles begin. Might want to have a tutorial battle earlier. Say right after exiting the house. Other than that, i think the game has great potential. Good luck :)

Under rating threshold (show) Really good game, quite hard at the end as it's all relatively easy up till the last bosses. Nice gameplay and a good narrative. I liked the involvement of the characters from other games. only bad thing is that it wasn't a bigger longer game, maybe a more developed sell/buy option as all the equipment confused me a bit, but thats just because I'm a bit dim. 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) 4.5/5 because of the lack of healing places. Made it to the dark forest with no mana and no heals lol. At least give us a level up restore. An Ironman mode like this would be nice though, and still i was gaming in the 90s so this is super legit
