The "Dread Lord" achievement is broken, the kill count resets after every mission, so it's impossible to get 1000 kills. :(

Pro tip: if you want the badges, play this game in one sitting, because your progress may be erased. It happened to me and others...

AAAARRGHH!! MY progress!!! Last time I played this was like, last week, I was 98% done, and now it's all gone!!! FFFFFUUUU----

More info on the badge of the day: Get your undead section of the skill tree to the "Mind Control". Upgrade it, and then start a round. Upgrade your crypt to the max, then choose the option on the left of the upgrade pop-up.
Eventually the enemies will get scared. Thats all. Just RNG

smoking tiles increase your mana regeneration. meteor strike deals 150 damage. also, the frenzy increases firing speed by 400%

@orangeJooze an upgraded undead tower is the blue tower, which has been upgraded 3 times to the right side, which has a 25% base chance to make someone scared for a few seconds (per shot).

I did the hard badge, but I still dont know what we gain from putting towers on smoking terrains or how much meteor strike takes from enemies.

These Cursed Treasure games are fun for a while, but they are essentially identical. Why would someone want to play a ~3-6 hour long game 5 times for essentially identical achievements? In retrospect, games/devs like this shouldn't have gotten this much attention for recycling games.

:| the top orc upgrade sounds good is actually shit - it activates ninja stealth at start of game and the poison doesn't even do that much damage. lmfao.

The biggest obstacle in level 15 is the Ninja boss in wave 40 that can get to the gems without decloaking. My solution were AoE temples on the high grounds. Once they are fully upgraded, they'll be able to deal with most of the ninjas in the previous wave. I got lucky and only had to use 1 Meteor on 39, so I could use the remaining 4 (full mana pool and meteor cost upgrades) to just barely kill the boss after the AoE damage. All in all, I like how this game forces you to strategize from the very beginning just to defeat the Ninja bosses (there is no other credible threat after you build fear crypts. there just isn't.).

2. around wave 10, start building temples and dens that are able to deal with all regular enemies. Upgrade temples to evileye and dens to orcish so many hits can land as much as possible so every enemy doesn't stand a chance especially ninjas that these two towers firing together can curb-stomp just about all of them. PS- It's possible to earn brilliant without crypts.

1. The last level was tons of guesswork to accomplish, but the trick is to build temples as close as possible and a few dens that are all able to fire the area ninjas will become visible to target, but only upgrade the towers enough to kill them in time with the help of extra range good enough to reach 2.5 tower spaces away, maxed out damage + fire rate. Have max mana amount (500) to meteor the ninja champion (the only way to defeat him before it reached the gems because he's too fast for towers to kill him in time).

My personal opinion in response to many of the comments left. 'Achievements' are achievements, that is they are their own rewards. If you have al all the 'Brilliant's then achievements become a good reason to carry on playing the game, if you want to.
If you don't want to do grinding then fair enough, don't grind. You'll never get the achievements for grinding, but that's your choice and it shouldn't spoil the game for those who are happy to put the extra effort in.

I don't get how the 'Dread Lord' (Kill 1,000 enemies) achievement works? I have tested and discovered this only counts the last map played & the count is reset when you start another map. A there are no maps >=1,000 enemies this appears to be impossible to achieve. Have I got something wrong?

ican't figure out how to save my progress because it doesnt have the option to enter a user name like the older version.

das original ist tausend mal besser ... die Grafik mouse over für die stats und und ich finde die Einstellungen nicht das beim upgraden von Türmen die Zeit weiter läuft ...

You used to be able to see how many waves were in a level on the "choose level" screen. Can you bring that back in the html5 version? Thanks

I also have the same problem as Ravensvoice wrote, only the last played level's enemies count for the 'Dread Lord' achievement.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
IriySoft : have you ckecked the dread lord achievcement since converting to HTML5? For me it only counts the last level I completed and since there is no level with 1K enemies I can not complete it.

I hate it when I forget to check in on a game I already completed long ago for Badge of the Day until literally minutes after the next day has started. Especially when it's a game I like.

Definitely one of the best tower defense games, right up there with Gemcraft. The only problem with this game is as Thalain said a few comments earlier, which is that if you spent hours grinding the original Cursed Treasure game which is essentially the same and now you have to grind again because you can't import your progress. Then again, because the game is so different we get extra points from earning these easy and medium badges. I doubt there would be those badges if greg or whoever back then assigned badges thought it would be too easy.

Quick guide to BOTD. Play the first level. Don't worry about how well you'll do. Keep playing until you get your first three skill points. Put at least one of these points in basic training. Play the first level again and put the Ice Tower on the gray extra-range spot. The tower should get enough experience where you can upgrade it to one of two towers. Choose the right tower that has the "FEAR" stat. If you're doing okay, then you should have the tower ready for the ninth wave. If you're having trouble, then put more points into Basic Training. You'll eventually have one of your enemies running the other way screaming, which is how you'll get the badge.

@Naud1234 - I'm guessing so that people can choose their own path depending on how they like to play. (I.E. Leaning towards ice towers the most.)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@xX_TrySoHard_Xx - Or you can just figure things out by reading the descriptions and seeing how the towers work after you placed them in the tutorial? This isn't rocket science.
