Under rating threshold (show) Somewhere in the middle of the game you read this: "011101000110100001101001011100110010000001101001011100110010000001100001001000000110010001110010011001010110000101101101" Which can be translated from binary to text (just google "binary to text") and means "This is a dream", which makes me believe xxcolbyxx` version of the story is quite accurate. The AI is struggling to end this so called madness. VERY nice game. I can`t emphasize this enough with words alone. Saying its the best flash game I`ve played wouldn`t be too much.

Under rating threshold (show) I have a theroy. You're are the A.I/SDGS (the reason why the base is there is to create the A.I) In (A a dream or (B suspened in time. (notice the clock and hourglass) And the A.I is trying to prevent the launch of nuclear weapons called Project Crusade. So it was trying to prevent but the millitary shuts down the A.I to manual mode. The A.I in suspended amnation tries to (A Shut its self compleatly on. (B Turn it self off. I think (B if the A.I whoud shut it self off disableing all weapons it whoud be simply dead thats why you see the light at the end. The computers might be the A.I agruing with its self agrubley it might be to human but possably the computer has a sence of primary language or a imagantion. Over all 5/5 plus favorte its a strange and wonderful game acutaly exsitsing before the escape the (insert place here). Also sorry for my english.

Under rating threshold (show) I must say, this is one of the greates games ive play on this page and i strongly recomend this game to everyone ready to open his mind to understand the infinity. i find myself agree with the xXxcolbyxXx version of the game. i Think that the SDGS watch how the militars arrested the scientist in the dinner and then they shout he/she/it down. thats why the clock is stoped and the coffe warm, the base is like a picture of the last things HE saw, a dream, while he trys to restore himself throug the lab acceding the consoles and restoring his previus abilities to control the facilities, the lab is a representacion of himself, while he recibe commands of stop trying to avoid the Madness of war, but he has a purpose, is awarness that he is able to choice. I think he is more human than most... I loved the game and i cannot stop thanking his creator for letting me play this master piece

Under rating threshold (show) This is a GREAT example of how a game has the (often unmet) potential to become a work of art. It wasn't about shooting things or solving puzzles: it told a story, conveyed , and provoked thoughts. 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) This game is amazing. Never before have I cried to a Point and Click game. The story is brilliant, and the characters are well-written. This game holds so many truths, it's not even funny. so many of these people should take to heart. This is now my favorite game of all. It ranks up there with the Submachine series, though this one certainly delivers it's message a hell of a lot more blatantly. I absolutely LOVE games that are made to make us question ourselves, and this game does just that. I have ideas on who/what the "player" is, and what the game represents. But I'm going to let the other players make up their own ideas. In any case, GREAT game, that I honestly think everyone should play.

Under rating threshold (show) This wasn't just another escape game to me. It was a game that made you think. Think about humanity. Think about life. Think about yourself. It makes you reflect on the reality of things. Even, as the creator said, it was still imperfect, in its own way it was. Good job Jonas, have a fruitful life and journey within yourself to create works of art like this for future generations.

Under rating threshold (show) "I can imagine what it is to die, with great detail. I have multiplied millions of times," was what really sent shivers down my spine. I agree that the stopped clock and the hourglass with one grain of sand in the top mean that you are the SDGS moving in suspended time. This makes even more sense becasue turning yourself off would prevent war, but kill you, leading to all the messages on the walls as you debated scuicide with yourself (The notes left from the researchers are meant to encourage you.)

Under rating threshold (show) I agree with xXxcolbyxXx for the most part, but I wouldn't say that you're entirely suspended in time, because if you click on the hourglass, it still says "Time is running out". Since its such a powerful computer, it can probably process everything so fast that it almost seems like time is frozen. Great game, deserves to be on the front page.

Under rating threshold (show) Holy ****, this came out on my birthday! Hot damn, I feel privileged. This was amazing. For some reason the tacky 3D and super dark rooms, in any other game, would completely ruin it for me, but this just fell into place like a magnificent puzzle. That's the feeling I got from the entire game. I loved being able to explore the minds of the characters, and being able to understand the plot slowly through the game, without feeling like I'm being railroaded or being handed the answers. I feel better about my life just knowing this game exists. Thank you for your amazing and hard work, and for inspiring me!! I can't speak more highly of this game... 5+♥.

Under rating threshold (show) I have, I think, never ever commented on any game on Kongregate....and yet this game, if indeed it can be truly called that, DEMAND that I comment. There is truly no praise high enough for the magnificent story you have put together; the sheer amount of philosophical thought alone that went into this story is staggering. the only thing that should be added is a warning: DO NOT READ THE COMMENTS AS IT WILL ALTER YOUR VIEW OF THE GAME AND TAKE AWAY SOME OF THE MEANING ( and your own perspective) OF THIS GAME. in any case, I was glad that I followed the advice had it been there.

Under rating threshold (show) I think SDGS's sacrifice in the end is sad. The military couldn't kill him without shutting down all of earths defense systems so they put him in a sleep state. At the end when you realize this you shut your self completely down, taking every weapons system in the world with you.

Under rating threshold (show) Incredible game. Don't be put off by the monochrome graphics; there's so much more here than meets the eye. Some screens could have stood to be less dark, but since the cursor changes over hotspots, that was at most a minor annoyance. I only needed the walkthrough at all because it wasn't obvious to me that I could slide and otherwise reposition character strings in Code Recognition mode. Piecing together the story was an adventure in itself. My only regret is that Kong won't let me give this game a rating higher than five stars!

Under rating threshold (show) Rather easy to get lost, geographically-wise, but the story is so very, very deep.....It really gets to you, it does. I kind of feel empty somewhat at the end, since I never get to see what exactly happened to the scientists/programmers/colleagues. Even having said that, I definitely feel that this experience was worthwhile, especially the crew logs. The fact that some of them are broken up and all over the place created a mood that I think was perfect for this game... All in all, very well made story. 5/5 here.

Under rating threshold (show) This is so much more than a simple game. It's life; a story that goes in every single persons mind in their lifes, be it in their concious or unconcious. The 'game': At first I thought the music isn't fit for reading, too distracting, but after the first sentences it perfectly blended into my feelings. The writings...So much work is done to make them, find them, write them down. Congratulations.

Under rating threshold (show) Great. The first story which does not picture an Artificial Intelligence to be the pure evil who has gone totally mad or, on the other hand, the savior of mankind, but as a intelligent being who suffers quite "human" problems. However, I found the ending quite... unsatisfying. With that, i don't mean that the ending of the story is bad, what i want to say is that it leaves me curious and i had hoped for more information. Although it may be a banality compared to the story, the question about the personality (and the future) of the protagonist remains.

Under rating threshold (show) I agree with xcolbyx, except on 1 part. The AI was trying to turn itself on. It was hunting in it's memory for password fragments (it has access to all the computers in the base). It's extra high processing power lets it do this without noticeable passage of time (hence, time freeze). Once it found the password, it reactivated itself and proceed to destroy all the world's weapons as it wanted to. Not sure how the infinite ocean fits in though.
