This is a nock-off version of dots/candycrush, and should not be part of the strategy/defense genera. It is a casual arcade game to pass the time.

In case you're worried, the -3 on the Knight everyone mentions is purely a VISUAL bug. It's not actually lowering the stats, at all. His stats grow fine.
However, that doesn't change the fact the Knight has the lowest stat growth and is arguably a lot harder to equip with items as well due to their default set-up being the best for board clear and damage. If you don't have his 4-match charge for bosses, he's probably just gonna die without a full guard force.

I had "triumph" on 12 of 14 levels, now on level 15 I can't win. I make matches so fast that I have to wait for the computer. Something is deeply flawed with the difficulty mechanics beyond just what everyone else pointed out. Also, the UI decisions made were extremely poor. Many times a "reward" covers up the board for more than a second preventing you from making or seeing matches. And then having to drag and drop rewards in the form of archers, mages and soldiers is beyond asinine. Not a bad concept, but a deeply flawed implementation. 2/5

This is a nice little game, for a while at least. Then it just becomes boring, with the same enemies and effects all over, and the later levels have 25-30 waves, that's 20 minutes of gameplay. The guards are also quite wimpy against higher-level enemies, only doing reasonable damage at level III or IV, which means you can't protect the knight and horseman adequately.

I love Match 3 type games, and this game is based on a fun concept, but as other players have noted, the balance is really broken. For future games, it would be better for them to receive the same experience, or to receive experience from the kills of their guards. The imbalance bugged me so much that I tried to find a way to help the warrior get the most experience. It basically boils down to giving the sorceress (and later the horseman) the highest level mages and archers you can. These will kill steal from the sorceress, who uses ranged attacks, thereby reducing her damage. Same with horseman. After a while, give the warrior a mage and an archer to help him with ranged monsters. This way the warrior earned almost twice as much XP as the horseman or the sorceress. I'm not recommending it as a winning strategy, but it was a fun experiment. Otherwise, the game is solid, and the Match 3 part is really fun!

Dragonkin Bladewings are way too destructive at high levels. They're fast enough to get through all but the strongest ranged defenses, and they can hit your walls - hard - right through the melee rank. Get enough of them in a lane other than the wizards, and you're pretty much guaranteed to lose the outer walls and any mage guards that were on them.

The knight getting worse as they level up is a display bug, I leveled my knight up and got +-3 and +-1 and their stats went up.

I love this however the only thing I hate about it that if you the save say on level 6, go and do something when you come back to the game you have to start over again

we are being invaded! should we send the heroes? yes. how should we heal them if they get injured? the healing wizards? no, we will make infinite boxes and those things will heal the heroes.

the knight guy level up without any plus stats at al (always +0)l... I wonder what's the cause? the one that still level up with plus stats is only paladin and sometimes battlemage.

Oh no, you weren't able to match enough to heal your Green horseman and all of the guards behind him died and NOW you can't get a big enough match to get more guards! OH WELL! Now have it happen a dozen more times and realize all that levelling meant nothing!

There's some massive problems with this game. I enjoy that the developer tried something new with a TD and bejeweled game mixed but it's executed horribly. The rounds last a freaking hour each and no one wants to play the rounds for that long. the game itself is too long, balancing issues galore. mage girl is op as hell where as my horse guy is dying every 2 damn seconds. Add a speed up bar or make the rounds shorter man.

did everyone forgot about technology by this point? im sure 7800 (about 4000 years from now) is enough to go colonize the planets, entirely forget about technology except for stuff like magic, and wars on the colonized planets to form

It started out good, but after a few levels it started to feel tedious. The first level explained the basics and the second added the support units, but every level after that was the same except for increasing difficulty. It would have been better if there was more variation later on.

I like the idea, but the execution is a bit messy. The mage isn't really OP, but the two other lanes are seriously underpowered. I managed to powerlevel a bit by grinding levels without placing any guards, healing the @&^#$*&^ out of my heroes as fast as possible. It still didn't feel very helpful despite leveling high and upgrading gear. It probably doesn't help that the levels are far too long... most of the time nothing is happening, just waiting for the mooks to get into clubbing range.

Imagine the heroes standing there. "Hey that building behind me moved!" "Holy shit a whole bunch of them disappeared!" "Now the whole row is moving and buildings are magically appearing from the left!" "Hey I gained some health, that's nice."
