The sequel to this really did the game justice, good job on that one. This one is still good, but anyone who liked this needs to try Pirateers 2.

I don't know how these people manage to wear necklaces that weigh over 100 kg, but I also don't want to know how little they'd sell for if they realistically weighed less than an ounce.

Playing on chrome, keep losing focus and having to click on game window. It even happened just now while I was typing. Not sure why this is happening. Small notification also keeps popping up at the bottom left of my screen saying "waiting for..." and listing random sites or something. Can't find any info on google. Anyone able to assist?

I like it when upgrades can make you over powered. In some games it's annoying when you have everything upgraded up to max level and still struggle to beat the final stages. Here it doesn't happen. Thank you for the fun time!

My favorite part is how the pirates and the navy put aside their differences to target you in every situation :-) I don't know what I did to be that far up on both of their hit lists but they seem to have developed technology that makes them immune to each others attacks as well!

When digging, start in the corner, so whatever number you get will have fewer possibilities (e.g. a 1 in the middle of the island means 16 options, while a 1 in the corner gives maybe 5 (irregular corners can mean fewer)). Your second click should be one of these golden chest possibilities (you might get lucky), but pick one on the "edge" of these, for the same reason. You'll still fail often, but this strategy helps a lot.

Best strategy is to only choose ship-hunting missions (no treasure-hunter, no fort-hunter) and sail towards ships to hunt them. Kite them into following you, and just zig zag in front of the ship while firing to take them down. You can have oodles of ships following you to collect $$$ and treasure. You can organize your treasure by doing the treasure-hunt mini-game (you keep anything at the top and trash anything at the bottom) to ensure that you keep the most expensive treasure. The treasure mini-game is mostly luck-based, but I prefer moving diagonally for the second move to give me more info'. Focus on treasure-hunter, cannonball, and tortoise shield. One level of dragoon Ram is necessary to speed through levels. (remember to recharge it every level!)

My strategy for the badge was to focus on Treasure Hunter, Shooting Gallery, and Tortoise Shield in the Weaponshop, and Charge in the Shipyard. I went for the quests with the highest bounty that involved destroying other ships, and hoped one of them would drop a treasure map. The mini-game is absurd luck-based drudgery, so at that point all anyone can do is wish for the best (I used the first two digs to work out possible locations for the treasure, and then prayed the third would get it). I wasted about 35 minutes of my life before getting the badge. Hope this comment helps.

Oh, and now I've had 3 out of 13 days I have a treasure map when the day ends. And you know what, do I get to keep that treasure map? NOPE. Other than boring, ill-conceived, infuriating and immature (as in not fully developed), this is the best pirate game I've played this week.

You know what else is horrendous about this game? The stuff just disappears. You know, like treasure chests, they just disappear sometimes. You're outnumbered 3- and 4-1 quite frequently, before you kill the last guy, your stuff from the first two is gone. WHO WRITES THIS STUFF?!?

This game is fantastically dull. You have to fight 4 v 1 canon battles where you can't stop or manuver, and everything takes 5 lives worth of money to buy the first upgrade? WHY?

I shoot a navy ship, and then it turns into a merchant ship! Wow, those traders are getting better and better at disguise!

This game problem is that the upgrades are set way to high! I had to die like a dozen times before I had enough to buy the lowest thing plus the mechanics are messed up you can not take your eyes off your ship to see or read the quests, if you do at least for me I wound up ded when ever I looked at the quests.
