Funny little game, just love it. Just wish there were other kind of enemies to make it more tricky... Maybe rabbits, birds?
You crafted a nice masterpiece, the game is fun, hilarious, the music is entertaining and the idea of hitting the enemies swinging your tail is just sublime. 5/5 For making it a Unity game

But, in the other hand, there is an upgrade that feels like useless in shop (its usefull, but almost unnoticed in gameplay)... the eating range increasement (last lower rigth option). Its usefull when you get too fast to get a precise aiming to the maggots... but it could be linked to the speed upgrade... i was thinking on changing it to some other usefull upgrade, but must be an upgrade that dont change the game idea at all, nor that makes the game too easy or too fast... If anyone have any idea, i would appreciate to analyze and implement if it would make my game more enjoyable by everyone and make it playable for longer =) that is the great achievement at all ;) longer plays, more players playing, and more Fun ;)

-Thank you very much impet =) the pause system was a new improvement in this final version, but that detail escaped me, now its fixed. About returning to Wave 1, its an expected behaviour. Since the game is an infinite wave progression, and each wave brings bigger hedgehogs, with more damage and resistance, at some point a single touch from an huge hedgehog is instant kill even with maxed resist. Anyway, after purchasing an upgrade you will be able to progress to futher waves easier, considering you still play as well as before. Thanks again for your reports impet. =D
-About the skinning button on shopping pointed by Nameless84, after the purchase of the special upgrade, do you guys feel it needs any thing to get more obvious? I am open to new suggestions ^^.

Well, the point about the waves, there is a simple way to solve it, but i am not sure if it is a good idea for all, i shall try it... any ways, this method will not save the full state of the scene, and for the sadness of all devs using unity, a built-in full scene save method seems not avaliable now. Not being a built-in feature, means not impossible to achieve, but will take long for me to develope it... does the simple methot fits for now?
About the skin Icon now got a yellow glow, not sure if its enoguth, i need some one with not addicted eyes to see if it became more visible.

Hedgehogs: at first it was cute"Awwww i think il name you shadow" then it was annoying"How many times do i have to slap you?!?" Then... it was wave 7.

I learned from this game Jeroba's are actually rodents that love maggots and slap hedgehogs with their freakishly long tail. :D

A fun little game that has alot of potential. A random map generator, at least two other levels, or if you have the programs a level editor perhaps would be a nice improvement. It could definitely use a new set of sounds. Overall a great little game. If you could possibly import it to work on an ipod I could see it going very far in sales, implement motion controls or a pad either works. It's one of those addictive little games that sell on the app store. This could be pretty big.

There's a bug with pausing, then going to the shop. There's a lot of lag before the command functions, and it takes you to the shop without any of your newly gained exp - and upon leaving the shop you begin a new game again, back at wave 1. Very disappointing after saving up the exp to upgrade level 3 secret upgrade, and getting to the shop to see all that exp was lost.

very nice game it made me laught it will be nice if you can train your Jerboain mini games like you pulling his tail and it grow or you put it to run on a treadmill to increase running speed 5/5 and i added it to favorites

I think you should add some kind of super maggot that will give u more exp. and it will fill your life, it should be red and appear randomly every one or two minutes

after you 'special upgrade', look at the very top of your shop, for an icon that looks like a jerboa and click that to see what choices you 'may or may not' have ;p

at :so when the hedghogs grow you grow:i meant to say when the hedgehogs grow the magots grow also you could out increas the size of you so its quicker to eat the maggets.

im not sure if magooflashgames ment to replace the"get the maggots from longer distance"but if he did he could replace it with biger magets making it both easyer to get and geting more food from it or you could just put this normaly n the game so when the headghogs grow you grow also biger magots take longer to eat i think i should be both though so you can ither let the game make the magots biger or force tehm to get biger. now tahts a good idear ay? :J

Hello again impet, you've become my best helper in developing for this game until now ^^
About the advice on the pause menu, thanks, that is perfect! Also its easy to do =)
About the "cheek pouches" improvement, its easy to be done too, but would be a huge change in the mechanics basis also to the idea of just defend your territory from the hungry hedgehogs, since they are there just to eat your maggots not to atack you. So, its not about implementation dificulty, but about the game concept. Instead of making this lure power, i was considering to imbue the game with the Kong API to enable Kong Achievements, just need to stutdy it deeper to see how i can use it the best way.
About the Exp improvement, actualy, the actual condition is already enough to achieve the ultimate "secret" upgrade in a considerably short gameplay time, also, the Exp. upgrade is 10 times faster at lvl 5 wich means it gives you about 1000 Exp. per second u stand alive/fed.

simple methods are best :) Most fun for everyone too, as a rule. And I'm eager to see what other games you might make next! If you still want suggestions about this game (which I'm still playing - made it to level 19 just now ;p) Add to the pause screen a warning that going to the shop will end the current game, that fixes the status save issue cleanly because players wont expect to keep the game. Would you consider making the starting level something you could upgrade with exp? Would you consider adding an upgrade that lets you become a target for the hedgehogs, so they go for you like they do the food? (maybe cheek pouches, like kangaroo rats, though sadly not jerboas irl have - you pick up the food but dont eat it until you are 'hungry'... meanwhile the hedgies chase you :P.

A change I would really like to see is the ability to downgrade the upgrades from the shop as well. The 'endgame' is mostly territory defense, you're a mighty midget amoungst the monsters and almost never need to eat, just keep dodging. So, being able to adjust my level of challenge up and down, without having to start with no upgrades each time would add fun for me.

Ahh, well since the skins are not 'secret secret' - I only noticed it cause I spotted the screen change as I bought it. Yes, I'd recommend making it more obvious (and I was expecting it to make the levels increase faster, or the hedgehogs larger to start ;P, the skins surprised me). It is -easy- to go back to level 1, just die. The 'advantage' of going to the shop from the middle of a higher level is the hope of going back to that exact same spot... when I tried it the first time food had spawned exactly to my left and my right, and hedgies were charging me and dying with incredible speed... I didn't want to 'lose' that, just get the next skin upgrade and go right back to that level, spot, and food placement... sadness!

Staying Alive for Jerboas
:Chapter 1: Find a clearing in your territory where it's raining maggots. Race to munch them before those lumbering hedgehogs do. If they get in your way, simply spin around and slap them to next Wednesday with your tail (which should be at least 10 times longer than your body).
Thak you, i am happy u enjoyed it. I shall do the multiplayer version one day, i want to make it with a huge variety of chars (including Jerboa hehe), based on the same mechanics to make vs arenas. But i must solve some particular problems first. Perhaps i ll do it for mobile too...
