Any hints for beating the gun platform level? I can't blow up the first one before the second one comes in, and after 20 minutes, I've beaten only the shields of 12 of them and they all kill me :(

Awsome, simply awsome. This game is pretty cool. But I bet if you added onto it it could become one of the best out there. Until then, this gets a 5/5, and added to my favorites. Keep up the good work.

Very nice game, thanks for the upload.
I am confused at the weapon select, I can't figure out what means the 5X damage at kinetic rocket, and what does the sticky bomb expect that stick. That do damage instant, over time or just after a time..., next time explain everything please, even if sooooo obvious is it.
[sorry for the bad english.]

Why so low a rating? This game is great!
Uniqueness: 5/5. The locking system is unlike any I have EVER seen.
Graphics: 5/5, being seamless and in style.
Music: 5/5. Fast, but still somehow calm, also fits the style.
Difficulty: 4.8/5. Learning curve is a little steep, but nowhere did I end up grinding a level.
Developer: 6/5, actually listens to comments and changes things!
Upgrades: 5/5. Minimalist upgrade systems work well in these fast paced shooters.
Playability: 5/5. The speed of the ship is fast, but still tightly controllable.
Overall: 5.5'ed and favorited. Seriously guys, why would you rate it down?

This game deserves a higher rating and more gameplays, definitely. It's an interesting control scheme, it's easy to pick up, and it's fun to play (and watch stuff blow up.)
One thing that's unclear to me, despite all the answers: on the kinetic missiles, the response is "5 damage * hit-duration" - does this mean the amount of time the explosion radius covers the target?
As a suggestion, I'd say to reduce the kickback from the kinetic missiles a bit - it sends me careering across the screen if I get in range of the explosions. And in range I often am, since the missiles explode on impact with the baddies that are usually chasing me. I guess it's partly a risk of using the high-power missiles, but it doesn't make it any less obnoxious. ;)
Thanks! The obnoxious-ness of the kinetic missiles is meant to balance out their amazing firepower. Yes, the 5 *hit duration is exactly what you wrote.

this game as a real potential and i hope that there will be a sequel ^^
but i'm wondering : what 5x mean because i use this weapon (it's funny to be thrwn away) but i dunno if it's effective or not.

very nice game, enjoyed it all the way through, I found the end boss to be quite funny to battle against when I first saw it, nice touch there.

Easiest way I've found to kill the final boss so far is to just use the Splitter Missiles. Trick is though, don't target the last boss at all, only target his little baby targets. That way the missiles explode all around him and hit him with lots of split hits.

Very fun game. Appears to be impossible to beat the boss, though. I'm fully upgraded, used every weapon and have had no different outcomes. I can blow up the targets he throws indefinitely. I can't seem to get a missile lock on him, though. Is the idea that you have to clear all targets before you can target him? No matter what I do, I can't seem to blow them up faster than he makes them. What am I doing wrong?
It is possible to lock on to the final boss without destroying the targets first. Try using kinetic missiles or splitter missiles to clear out the targets if they start overwhelming you. I personally just use basic + splitter for the final boss.

seems like an increase in Field of vision would be nice, the mini-map helps, But half of the enemy's attacks have much higher range than the FoV.

Thank you Marmph for listening to the comments of the players and i look forward to your other games this one is really fun besides what i mentioned before with the unbeatable level 10. also i have a question are the missiles meant to explode when they have not hit anything ? Like they are flying nothing hit them and they explode for no reason.

Level 10 unbeatable . I have all upgrades and everything and i can't even put a dent in one of the mother ships without it killing me in a few seconds.... Is that level broken or am i just doing something wrong? also being able tog et 20 and up combo with that level is a little bit out there i mean we already got god ships we don;t need a motherload of mini ships to.
Sounds like this is a problem many people are having. I'll try to upload another difficulty tweak.
EDIT: Level 9 has been modified a bit. Level 10 modification in the works.

ummm this is a small surrjestion could you do something in options where you cn change well not textures but what stuff looks like? so one could be (a game ive been obbesed with that you should play) X-com because i think intercepters, firestorms, and avengers shooting something like a Very small ufo. Another thing is more ships please and mabey something like 4 weapons at once use spacebar to select. Mabey some more weapons? like some you can buy and not just unlock. sorry for this long thing but just some surrjestions

lvl 9 mother ships seem to be immune on any kind of dmg, i keep firing at them for over 10 min and they dont loose hp
The number of motherships on level 9 had been reduced. Also, try using the basic missile or sticky missile, those tend to do a lot of damage to motherships.
Intentional! The self damage is intended to be a balance mechanism. Early in development, the kinetic missile used to be able to kill the player with only 2-3 shots!

Also i dont know if this is a glitch or intenial but if you lock on to a enemmy and the enemy dies before you can shoot it stays locked on but its locked on nothing

Kinetic is WAY BETTER than splitter at area damage, for killing smaller ships.
Sticky is by a huge margin the best for killing big stuff.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
think u should do something about playing the last boss thingy since that ship is REALLY slow and well not very good for infinite mode and its more fun to play the little ship cuz it could get owned in 1 sec if u make a wrong turn at the wrong moment so either make the final boss ship smaller and faster or just leave it out otherwise 4/5 almost 5/5

How can I be expected to dodge a barrage of bullets, weave in and out of hoards of enemy ships, constantly swap between two weapon types that must be used in conjunction in order to cause any real threat to my enemies, all the while struggling with a firing system that hinders the user by disallowing manual targeting and substitutes it with an inferior homing AI; IF I CAN NOT SEE MORE THAN 10 FEET IN FRONT OF MYSELF !?!?

One of the best shooters I've seen and played here. Also, the fact that you read, respond aaand actually update the game according to the players. Dude, finally, that's what it takes to be a great developer! listen to the audience, and by the way, I just played after all those changes, they were definitely right! Congrats bro, keep it up! <3 5/5 for sure!

Quite amazing that you can mix both types of rockets by pressing spacebar while they are being launched. Can lead to some cool effects :) great game!

love it!! cheers for getting back to us about fixing the politically incorrect 'Spastic outside-the-boundary' bug ;D Playing as the last boss is epic, its not even a smaller version lol

Fine game overall. Finished it with little difficulty. Just a little nitpick thing but.. those "Kinetic" missiles do the exact opposite of what actual kinetic ammunition is designed to do (AKA pierce and impact damage, not... explode).

Great game,Loved it.Played it for about an hour and got bored,I'm hoping for...Some kind of sandbox? And an enviroment,Like a jungle floor.Or something else,I'd like that.3.5/5

really enjoyed the game, only two things are i'm not sure what it means by 5X for the kinetic damage, and while very fun, it was hard to play on a laptop mousepad sometimes. That said this genre usually is and it was still playable

Nice and fun game, colorful and with nice and flashy graphics, simple, enjoyable, also nice music track, but a bit more songs would be appreciated
However there's a major gripe i have with the game, it's way too easy, especially with the kinetic missiles, I only died once cuz i kept bumping into the weapon platforms but that's around it
I thought the final boss was gonna be challenging but then i realized not so, though i did laugh
You have a nice sense of humor and i can see you really love the games you make, with a bit more challenge, variety and a bit more music, this game would've been perfect
But for now, it's pretty damn good, keep it up! 4/5
Also thanks for the cool points :D

played yesterday had lots of fun, played today keep getting knocked into the darkness after the game stalls for a few secs
Uploaded a new version (1.1) that I think fixes the "getting thrown out of the boundaries" bug. I can't fix the stalling, because it is caused by the Kong API submitting stuff.

I kind of agree with those who suggested simply removing coins altogether and just directly awarding the money for killing enemies (at least for the small enemies, you might prefer to keep it as is for the bigger ones). There'd be less visual spam and it'd make mothership missiles a bit more noticeable, in addition to not having to slow down to collect the coins. I do really like the lock-on mechanic, I wish more of these games had that. I liked what someone suggested about playing as the big enemy ships as a reward for winning. I'm curious how the other ship functions but not curious enough to visit the sponsor's site. Thanks for encouraging us to provide you with feedback and seeing the value of criticism, by the way. I wish more people who leave comments on this site understood that. Thanks for uploading, I'll play this again.
While removing coins would reduce visual spam, I still prefer the satisfaction of physically collecting a coin. I don't think it is necessary to slow down for coins as of version 1.091.

I was knocked out of the arena and into the void a few times, but I saw in one of your replies that you think you'll have that fixed soon. That's good. My biggest gripe is with getting knocked around by my kinetic missiles' explosions. I'd hoped the kickback would only affect my enemies. And I wish my missiles would only collide with those enemies they are locked on to, because in the later levels I want to destroy the biggest enemies first but can't since most of my missiles collide with the weaker mobs. Sure, the way it is now might make it a bit more challenging but I feel it mostly just introduces tediousness: "Too many mobs for me to reach the motherships clustered in the center, now all I can do is restart."
Getting knocked around by the kinetic missiles was intentional. While they are more powerful in most situations than other missiles, they have the drawback of being incredibly volatile and potentially harmful to your own ship. It is meant to be a sort of balance mechanism.
