you can activate the L attack by quickly pressing down then up the J attack, which is what was in the original games a supposed combo special move, allowing 1 key activate make the game way too easy by spamming it. if anyone looking for challenge you can ignore the L key and only activate the special attack by using the combo instead make the game much more challenging and enjoyable.

I love side scrolling fighter games, but this one needs alittle polish. The moves/combos feel stiff, and too limited. I also don't like how your character automatically walks away at the end of a level after you kill everyone or the boss, it keeps you from picking up any loot/food you didn't get to yet. It's a good game tho, the creator should work on it more.

Oh my god, if I had a choice between living here or in the video game, I would choose the game. Why? Because you find freshly cooked pizza in barrels, and even better, IT MAKES YOUR HEALTH GO UP.

This reminds me of streets of rage. Exept with dinosuars. also you dont lose health when you do a specail attack... WITH DINOSUARS!

Uh oh, it looks like this game might be broken. I'm the same as the last two commenters, just a miniclip screen, and things seriously, like, ALWAYS work on my computer. I have some of the most standard stuff imaginable. Therefore, if it isn't working for me, chances are there's something wrong.

Whoever made this game must've loved playing Cadillacs and Dinosaurs in the arcades as much as i did. Thanks for bringing it back!

Here I was, thinking that saving dinosaurs because it was the right thing to do was the best thing in the world. This game has changed my mind. I now realize that the best thing in the world is beating the mind-control out of dinosaurs in order to save them because it's the right thing to do. That's right, beating the mind-control out of them, that's totally proper English. >_>

I wonder why your character automatically picks up treasure, but has to be coaxed to pick up food and weapons. What's up with his priorities?

This is an impressive feat, I was wondering if it would be possible to create a reasonable beat 'em up in Flash and here's the proof. Nice graphics, enough variation in enemies and several weapons, as well as the staple grab and run attacks. It's a pity the setting is so obviously ripped from Capcom's Cadillacs and Dinosaurs coin op - the way dinosaurs change to green and fight on your side when defeated is directly ripped, I also noticed that one of the bosses is basically Rolento from Final Fight (later Street Fighter) with a metallic tail, another boss mutates into a dinosaur-type thing (again C&D). There's a difference between paying homage and all-out pinching ideas. The game does play a little stiffly and the windows of invulnerability some bosses have are a little annoying, but overall this is a solid game, well done!

this game is amazing! but i agree it would use some work. more combos would be nice and a jab, cross, kick key set up that would be great for combos.

I was going to log your standard 'this is too easy, here are some suggestions' sort of comment, until I saw that there were additional difficulties. Anyone who is a fan of the Streets of Rage or Golden Axe style gaming, give it a shot...slog through the extended tutorial that is Easy Mode, and try the more challenging stages. It may have been simply that compared to the female character, the male controls like a waterlogged Nash Rambler, but I found that the 'oh no, mash L!' tactic stopped working after the first stage of Normal Mode.
All in all, a nice, rounded beat-'em-up. Especially if the images were original. I'm not sure, but I didn't recognize any. The backgrounds gave it a Metal Slug feel, though why there were so many intestinal references ('cloaca' and 'rejectamenta') I'm not certain.
Kudos!

Dear Miniclip,
When I turn both the sound and music off, I mean I want ALL the sound and music turned off. That even means the music that plays after you beat a level. Thinking you have all the game sounds off and then suddenly hearing a blast of music can really ruin someones gaming experience.
Kthx

Nice looking Streets Of Rage style beat-em-up. Shame it isn't 2 player and longer, but it's still great. Well done to the person who made this!

This game is amazingly simple and addictive! However, should there be a sequel, please note that a few more attacks and comboes could suffice. Also, make it more clear that you can dash by double-tapping a direction. I'm not sure you added that to the help, and not everybody's played a retro game like this before! :3. We also need more levels and more enemies!
Onto the better points, the bosses are amazing. They have their own little way of fighting, and it's fun to find the best way to get around their attacks. Hint for the final boss: When he leaps, FLYING ATTACK! :D
Thanks Miniclip. An awesome game/

A great start. I love 2D beat-em-ups. It looks like most of this has been said already, but the combos system feels pretty limited, automatically leaving the screen prevents the snatching of some loot, the music gets boring after hearing the same thing over and over, there could be a better variety of enemies, the level design could use some work to make it feel a tad less monotonous, and the bosses are a little too predictable. But you do have all of the basics down. The engine is nice and fluid, the action is in-your-face, and the boss fights are epic. And is it just me, or do the hero and heroine look like Terry Bogard and Leona Heidern?

Great old-school feel. I wish, however, that like in the old-school games, that when you die you just re-spawn, rather than having to start the whole level over again.
