Very well done. Interesting mechanic, and you've implemented it well. The pop-in pop-out 2nd player option is interesting and, again, implemented well. Pretty to look at AND fun to play? How dare you?

Best game I've played by you Nitrome! Well, other than maybe Faultline of course. That'd be really cool if you could somehow make an expanded version of it for Steam as well! Would be much appreciated. My last question is, are all the crystals in-game able to be collected by one player? I got 47 of 50 but the last three confuzzled me as they seemed to require more than one player, and I assumed the two player campaign was separate or something.

There are a number of hidden rooms that are sort of "proof of concept" for different types of puzzles. Probably the hardest one is near the "25 crystal gate" because it requires thinking like this is a puzzle game, not a platformer. @Black and everyone having a problem with it: you need to think with ladders. @Nitrome: great game, 4/5 (only because it is not a full game), greenlighting.

Even better than Faultline. I hope that your campaign succeeds, and that the full game keeps this same focus on puzzles over action -- I really enjoyed how most levels didn't need reflexes, only planning.

Getting all the gems took a bit and required some creative thinking, but I can verify that they are all possible to get in single player mode. Some things to think about if you get stuck on one:
1. Ladders can be moved by the environment, and it's not always bad if they are. after a ladder is placed, the height of it does not change.
2. Ladders are not effected by spikes. They can stand safely on spikes, while you cannot. Use to your advantage.

Nitrome has to be one of my favorite developers ever. Always has fun new mechanics, and beautifully styled and fitting graphics.

Everybody, get on steam and help Greenlight this game!
Up this post so everybody sees it!
Also, epic game, very very unique mechanic.
However, I'd like a tutorial somewhere.
Will it be in the full game?

@blackjack666 heres what you do. You summon the ladder on the first platform and send it down. Because it turns left to a wall, the ladder will be sent down. Then you push the next button to send the second platform left, thus moving the ladder into the gem. voila! you have the gem

Very creative, but the respawning blobs were incredibly irritating early on, and there doesn't really seem to be anything to keep players coming back.. yet

Would be nice of the map showed the secret rooms after you discover them. (Mostly so I can take advantage of the green diamond indicator.)

I'm pretty sure it's been said before, but most of your other games, while very creative and have interesting mechanics, doesn't have that 'hook' that keep players playing to the end. (at least, that was my case anyways)
This game though, it was interesting, it had a good mechanic, good artwork, and better than usual execution! Congratulations, Nitrome!
