I want Mines and Scans to be used whenever they are fully charged, so add a toggle-able "auto-use" next to or under each skill. Alternatively, add a toggle-able "auto-use" in the options menu.

one of the safest and best tactics for beginners is to use ion frigates on multiple lanes to keep from being overrun. when moveing to attack, focus 2 or more with scout support to push the offensive. other more advanced blitz style tactics can win me battles in under 1 minute 30 seconds, but these are risky and leave you vulnerable if they fail. cruiser + bomber+ teleport special ability= blitz raid to punch through enemy waves, destroy turrets with ease and damage enemy base ship. drawbacks include: need to save a lot of energy to work, need charged teleport, leaves you vulnerable to attack, but causes tremendous damage to enemy ship. cruiser blitzes can be stopped dead with horde of bombers, but usually not before taking huge damage
