Under rating threshold (show) I'm impressed I can't wait for the next one. The music was very good matched the town's atmosphere very well. Ahm the art was perfectly matching everything I think it was putting everything together. That art was so characteristic, a bit sketchy some times which was really good. The coloring was outstanding so vivid, real. The sceneries... I have to mention that I've found myself staring those beautiful views. I have to admit that for me to start reading a game's story it must really catch me, well this one did it. It was fast and objective at some points, just theory though I believe that those fast points help the player's will to read the greater parts of the storyline. I wish we had some more work to do in the forest and the waterfalls, which were both very nice scenes btw. It was an inspiring game, I wish we had more games like that in the future.

Under rating threshold (show) This is an epic adventure story of stealing everything that's not nailed down, particularly old womens' magical amulets, and plucking hairs from sleeping or otherwise unwary creatures. Helped along with amazing artwork, and a well suited musical score, this is truly a masterpiece of everyday life!

Under rating threshold (show) Thanks for this beautiful game. I really like the concept of putting a story together and having that story serve the people of the village. I worked in oral histories for two years with former mill workers, and our work was much like that. Also, it's interesting that the illusive character is named Derrida. Jacques Derrida is the literary critic who developed "deconstruction," a process for un-building a narrative. So, I thought that Derrida might be working to un-build Myositis' efforts to construct his story. Pastel, I dig it!

Under rating threshold (show) Note: You do not use the same bottle that contained the wine to contain the potion. The bottle you need to contain the potion of the drowned can be seen when you talk to the innkeeper in the top right corner. All the other items are straightforward enough.

Under rating threshold (show) This is a sublime game. It is quite simple and easy, but it is the music, sounds, and scenery that makes this game a pleasure to play. Not only that, but this game has inspired me to finally learn to program games myself, which is quite a feat, considering my actual lack of RL time. That is in no small part the reason I enjoy this game site all of us share. Very fun game.

Under rating threshold (show) The reason I love this game so much is that it is not like other puzzle games. Good job with a perfect game! :D

I'm not sure if it's intentional or not but i noticed you can sell the drunkard for 2 acorns XD There is also a bug though that makes the dialog disappear if you scroll over an item during it. (Happened to me when talknig to mayor, had to restart the game :( )

Under rating threshold (show) I can't think of a fantasy-edged-with-science-fiction story with such gorgeous worldbuilding (and art!) since Carla Speed McNeil's "Finder" series. The depth of the world behind this short adventure is staggering, in addition to intriguing and interest-piquing. Everything from race and culture, to domestication and architecture, to spirituality and even the insular nature of small villages, is so much more developed than in any other game I can think of. Do NOT miss Marek Rudowski's blog, where you can see the artwork and read about the development process for the larger adventure comic / game "The Big Old Tree That Dreamed," AKA "The Trader of Stories," which "The Bell's Heart" (this game) is just a small part of! It's at traderofstories.blogspot.com and is a must-read for anyone who enjoyed playing the Pastel-Games-licensed first 'episode' here.

Under rating threshold (show) Hey....I've seen this game HEAPS of times and have always wanted to play it, but I always came up with the play screen and when I clicked play, it wouldn't let me play. But just recently I have been using Internet Explorer instead of Chrome(due to some minor problems concerning the arrow keys) and amazingly, I was able to play this wonderful peice of work. I am glad that I have found a way to play it and I hope that I will see more games. I am expecting that there will be a few more sequels to this....the last one consisting of who this main character is and what their story is about. Again, I congratulate you for this wonderful game....5/5 plus a thumbs up.
