Under rating threshold (show) For ppl who are wondering when will Chap 4 come out: He is remaking the whole series on his webpage "Alora Fane". The series is called now "Taming Dreams", go there if you wanna see his progress on it. PS: Honestly Pseudo, I think you dont REALIZE how good you are at making games. Mardek 3 (Since I havent played Taming Dreams yet, I will soon) has a really really very good writing. The character development is huge, and the combat system is cool aswell. I like the fact that EVERY person in the game has an element, and that kinda shows his personality. Even NPCs have element, OMG, you took care of every small detail. Dude, you are too good as a developper, thanks for this.

Under rating threshold (show) First off, props to Pseudolonewolf for his mind. With all of the clever prose, descriptions, and especially all of the haikus, it could not have been easy. I speak for all of us when I say, thank you. Secondly, if you would all go to his website, you would know that the Mardek series is postponed while Miasma is in the works. That, I can't wait for.

Under rating threshold (show) The King told me to bring the crystals to him immediately. Instead I've been gallivanting around, saving fairies, fighting in the arena, leveling my characters, and destroying god-like creatures. It's almost like I don't care about the King at all. I wonder how that makes him feel.

Under rating threshold (show) @lucky2008: Qualna is MEANT to be fairly weak, being the "diviner" and relying on brain rather than brawn. And he is pretty good at that, too; more or less subtly controlling your actions throughout the game. So, if you want a challenge, try Animus instead (although I believe he is easier to beat than Karnos, but that might be just me ^^).

Under rating threshold (show) I love this game! Clever, witty, yet sad at the same time. The combat is great and the pixelated graphics make me feel like I'm playing Golden Sun or Final Fantasy all over again. The characters all have an interesting story to tell and the skills set this game apart from many others. 5/5 Pseudo, great job.

Under rating threshold (show) This is, hands down, the greatest Flash RPG I have ever played. Combat and loot system = flawless. Music = immaculately composed and matches the scenery/mood perfectly. The dungeon design and map system is superb, character development and humour used in-game are fantastic, and Pseudolonewolf has even managed to achieve an incredible balance of main storyline and hidden dungeons the likes of which I have never seen. The artwork is wonderfully nostalgic and really brings back memories of the old SNES RPGs I know and love, and the length of the game is simply phenomenal - across the 3 chapters, I've logged around 25 hours, and haven't even started the wind/fire/earth/water temples yet! (What can I say, I have Obsessive Treasure Chest Opening Disorder). A triumph in Flash game creation. I salute you, Pseudolonewolf. *Salutes*

Under rating threshold (show) I hope that people realize that this game wasn't made by a corporation like armorgames or crazymonkeygames...etc.. and that it was made by pseudolonewolf alone and that he makes 3+ other series of games mardek being by far his most popular and well deserved because he spends hours upon hours days upon days months upon months making them and he redid the entire engine for chapter 3 and was nice enough to add it to chapters 1 and 2 to improve the experience to people who just found the game or want to find out what the hell is going on in chapter 3 so shutup haters and try to make a game better than this because this is in the top 3 of free rpg games

Under rating threshold (show) I just started this series of games. The first two were a blast, and while I just started this one, it is amazing. What I find amazing, is I've purchased games like this (Cthulhu Save the World, for example) off of Steam, and if this game was purchasable, I'd happy buy it. Too bad we can no longer tip developers!

Under rating threshold (show) I just created an infinite, uncontrollable battle loop. Zach is in the solo arena, against the Flame Soul. He has berserk, numb, and regen. Each turn the Flame Soul deals 60ish damage, while Zach regens 90+, but on his turn, he just stands there unable to attack, as though stunned. Amusing, but also annoying.

Under rating threshold (show) I must say I'm impressed by the comments that've been posted here overnight! Earlier, I was feeling annoyed at what seemed like a large number of 'haters', but now basically all the comments are positive and many are lengthy too (I always appreciate detail). So thank you, people! Also, for anyone who's having difficulty with the saving, please heed the starting screen things. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST FLASH PLAYER VERSION! This is very important, as even slightly older versions have really weird problems sometimes. And make sure you allowed enough space for saving, too.

Under rating threshold (show) I cannot believe developers work so hard on these games just for idiots' comments to destroy it all. There is always a game before that is like yours; would Final Fantasy be considered a rip-off of Zelda? No. This is a genre. You cannot do this to people. I am a developer, as well, (although not in Flash, but Java, and I will never live up to Pseudolonewolf's awesomeness) and I know how he feels. Why should RPGs be prejudiced like this? Why isn't BTD prejudiced as a rip-off? It's a TD game, and there's millions of those too. I think it's just unfair.

Under rating threshold (show) sorry if this is a re post i'm not sure if the original did post so..... hey this is a shout out to pseudo this game series is amazing no matter whatever anyone else says i haven't found a bad thing and i love the fact you did some spells/attacks where you hit left or right and it targets all enemies or friendlies although i didn't notice until the final battle in chapter 2 lol but yeah the only negative thing about it is you can't replay a chapter after beating it you have to move to the next or make a new save but still has so much value and i rate it a 10/5 i haven't seen many flash games with this much detail or quality and coming from one person (you) just makes it that impressive since a lot of good games require a team of guys who spent years trying to reach the level you have so keep going

Under rating threshold (show) By the way, if you wanted to ever defeat the security demon (It's incredibly rewarding; took my party from 19/25/21/18 to 21/27/23/21 and the after-fight dialogue is hilarious), note that you can only do it on your fourth warp or earlier. My party was Gloria/Elwyen/Solaar/Mardek. Gloria cast Null Air, Mardek cast Morality Block and Shield (all on everyone). Elwyen used Ballad of Balance (Goznor Magic Shop, secret shop area) to prevent normal attacks from killing everyone, and Solaar normally hit him with Viper Fang (Lifewood treasure chest, with a Rogue Fairy trapped in the chest it's in) and the Poison+20% reaction. Solaar Spirit Grafted whenever anyone needed mana/power/whatever and attacked whenever poison "ran out". Poison deals 3000 a turn, and it heals 100 a turn. Unfortunately, you get a Gold Warport Pass for defeating it, so you can't do it again (But you get to keep the original ticket! Extra plot item! Hooray!)

Under rating threshold (show) I have just got the Psychosomatic Exhaustion Badge and would like to congratulate Pseudolonewolf on this great success of a game. I watched the progress bar on his home page for months on end (it got stuck at 99%) and believe this is truly one of the greatest games I have ever played. Many games outstrip it in graphics (though he made a good shot at it) but nothing beats this in plot, it was physically moving, especially at the end, though I shall not ruin the story for everyone So again, thank you for an excellent game, well worth the time. And for anyone reading this (I'm not saying + this :D) READ THE WHOLE DIALOG! IT's WORTH IT Champelliot

Under rating threshold (show) This. Game. Is. Awesome. All this has been said before, but it bears repeating. The fighting system has been streamlined since the first two games and is now easy to use while not being strategically boring. Characters are well developed and involve you personally in the game; they make you care about the good guy winning. The plot is stupendous, providing hours of gameplay without once slackening the pace (even without the sidequests, which deserve a sentence of their own). More importantly, perhaps, the plot is *interesting,* which is more than I can say for many "awesome" RPG's I've played. The music, composed specifically for this game by the developer, fits the mood of every dungeon or area without becoming overbearing or too noticeable. If the game is the melody, the music is the harmony, providing enhancing yet subtle accompaniment. I cannot stress enough how AWESOME this game is. PLAY IT!

Under rating threshold (show) This game should be the example for all free games. It shows that a free game can have a great "full length" story and well fleshed out characters with sophisticated game-play mechanics and a superb attention to detail.
