Under rating threshold (show) I love this game! Clever, witty, yet sad at the same time. The combat is great and the pixelated graphics make me feel like I'm playing Golden Sun or Final Fantasy all over again. The characters all have an interesting story to tell and the skills set this game apart from many others. 5/5 Pseudo, great job.

Under rating threshold (show) This is, hands down, the greatest Flash RPG I have ever played. Combat and loot system = flawless. Music = immaculately composed and matches the scenery/mood perfectly. The dungeon design and map system is superb, character development and humour used in-game are fantastic, and Pseudolonewolf has even managed to achieve an incredible balance of main storyline and hidden dungeons the likes of which I have never seen. The artwork is wonderfully nostalgic and really brings back memories of the old SNES RPGs I know and love, and the length of the game is simply phenomenal - across the 3 chapters, I've logged around 25 hours, and haven't even started the wind/fire/earth/water temples yet! (What can I say, I have Obsessive Treasure Chest Opening Disorder). A triumph in Flash game creation. I salute you, Pseudolonewolf. *Salutes*

Under rating threshold (show) the fact that this game is on the 7th page of kongregate is an embarassment to the kong community. this game would easily be marketable as a console rpg (considering that it is better than most of the trash that gets labeled 'rpg' these days) and is clearly the single greatest game on kongregate (a website that has games made by actual game developing companies (eg: outernauts)). the point i'm trying to make here is this: props to pseudolonewolf, you are truly an artist among people who just want to make a cheap buck.

Under rating threshold (show) I hope that people realize that this game wasn't made by a corporation like armorgames or crazymonkeygames...etc.. and that it was made by pseudolonewolf alone and that he makes 3+ other series of games mardek being by far his most popular and well deserved because he spends hours upon hours days upon days months upon months making them and he redid the entire engine for chapter 3 and was nice enough to add it to chapters 1 and 2 to improve the experience to people who just found the game or want to find out what the hell is going on in chapter 3 so shutup haters and try to make a game better than this because this is in the top 3 of free rpg games

Under rating threshold (show) I must say I'm impressed by the comments that've been posted here overnight! Earlier, I was feeling annoyed at what seemed like a large number of 'haters', but now basically all the comments are positive and many are lengthy too (I always appreciate detail). So thank you, people! Also, for anyone who's having difficulty with the saving, please heed the starting screen things. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST FLASH PLAYER VERSION! This is very important, as even slightly older versions have really weird problems sometimes. And make sure you allowed enough space for saving, too.

Under rating threshold (show) @lucky2008: Qualna is MEANT to be fairly weak, being the "diviner" and relying on brain rather than brawn. And he is pretty good at that, too; more or less subtly controlling your actions throughout the game. So, if you want a challenge, try Animus instead (although I believe he is easier to beat than Karnos, but that might be just me ^^).

Under rating threshold (show) I cannot believe developers work so hard on these games just for idiots' comments to destroy it all. There is always a game before that is like yours; would Final Fantasy be considered a rip-off of Zelda? No. This is a genre. You cannot do this to people. I am a developer, as well, (although not in Flash, but Java, and I will never live up to Pseudolonewolf's awesomeness) and I know how he feels. Why should RPGs be prejudiced like this? Why isn't BTD prejudiced as a rip-off? It's a TD game, and there's millions of those too. I think it's just unfair.

Under rating threshold (show) This game doesn't get enough attention on this site. It is, by far, the highest quality game on Kongregate, yet it's not even in the top 5 of it's genre! EBF3 is good, but it doesn't compare to MARDEK at all. The music, storyline, artwork, gameplay and humor are all top notch. My only problem is having to organize my items all the time. The game needs to auto-sort types of items, and you need to have access to item storage when you craft things. But other than that, this game is absolutely amazing. Keep it up Pseudo!

Under rating threshold (show) @iroqelio - You can simply go to the MARDEK wiki and look up whatever monster you want to find. It gives all the information you will need. Oh, and i'm pretty sure axolotl's aren't 'easier' to find in one part of the temple than another.

Under rating threshold (show) Ive finished almost every flash RPG with was at least "mediocre". Except Mardek, cause somehow I was threwn away every time ive tried - beginning are rather hard to get used to (jokes all around, "strange" menu system, a lot of pretty hard random battles). Since few days ago, when i gathered my spirit, and played this game a bit longer. And guess what I was doing during these few days? :). This game is awesome, would have heart broken if I would have to choose between Mardek and Epic Fantasy but nonetheless - these two are the best flash RPG series ever, yet totally different. The minus on Mardek side is, as I mentioned earlier, that's kinda hard to get used to this game. Ahh and PLEASE DONT MAKE DOUBLE "ESC" LEAVING THE GAME!:D. Congratulations for a wonderful game!

Under rating threshold (show) I have just got the Psychosomatic Exhaustion Badge and would like to congratulate Pseudolonewolf on this great success of a game. I watched the progress bar on his home page for months on end (it got stuck at 99%) and believe this is truly one of the greatest games I have ever played. Many games outstrip it in graphics (though he made a good shot at it) but nothing beats this in plot, it was physically moving, especially at the end, though I shall not ruin the story for everyone So again, thank you for an excellent game, well worth the time. And for anyone reading this (I'm not saying + this :D) READ THE WHOLE DIALOG! IT's WORTH IT Champelliot

Under rating threshold (show) By far the best flash game I've ever played. I've never spent over 40 hours on a single flash game before, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am even choosing to play MARDEK over games that I have paid actual money for. Pseudolonewolf you are amazing and you have almost ruined all other flash games because if 5/5 is the highest the rating can go, I don't think any other game deserves to be on the same level as this.
