There shouldn't be a "fire button". Is there any advantage to not continuously firing at all times? I haven't seen better control, or aiming improvement in any form from not firing/choosing when to fire. It should just be auto fire on always.

It's like a bullet hell with none of the appeal of actual bullet hells. There aren't that many bullets, but your character is painful to control, making dodging an exercise in frustration.

You can not begin to imagine my anger when i died from a flying bullet after killing the level 6 boss and not getting the heart...

General Kongregate trick: if you click outside the frame, the game will lose focus and will not register any key presses, or more importantly key releases.
Hold down space, click outside the game, release space, click inside game. The game will continue to act as if space is held down, firing continuously while you focus entirely on moving.

Absolutely bare minimum "game" that is more frustrating than fun. Only played to get 1 of 2 achievements, the hard badge should be an impossible badge as it isn't even worth a fraction of the effort it would require to complete it.

The difficulty of this game is entirely based on the complete lack of ability to control your character, which can be absolutely infuriating at times. Not a game that you really want to restart after getting far and losing. Just observations not ragging on the game. It was fun, just rage-inducing.

so, im super far in this game and im dodging all these lasers and rockets like a beast, than some how a laser cut both my arms and both legs off. (i also have 1 life left an im not going to lose) the problem was i couldn't shoot... now all i am is one giant floating nub. Thank you game for making me into a nub -_-

I'm always so close to getting the hearts, I'm just one inch away from getting the heart but then it keeps falling and my ragdoll guy keeps on moving around.

Is this supposed to be fun or something? How? How are enemy shots/lasers so frequent and close together they form a LINE that can't be avoided and enemy aiming on the calculative speed of a computer coupled with my crappy and half unpredictable movement fun in the slightest?

sometimes i lose because i kill the big ship, and then the screen vibrates so much, i just crash into a laser or miss the heart

so can anyone else not even start this game? seems like the game is busted from the beginning. space does not start the game. Can we stop getting daily badges from games that don't work?

Why cr*p like this gets badges, let alone botd, I'll never understand.
Might as well have no controls and just a randomly floating character, at least that would make it honest in the figure being uncontrollable.

Man, this game hasn't aged well at all. It's only hard because you're fighting against the controls and that's not a fun challenge.

Holy fake difficulty, 1 star and flagged (I know flagging won't make any difference, I just do it out of frustration). You're expected to dodge hails of projectiles with movement that's so wildly floppy, whether in air or on ground? You either move too slow dragging on the ground to avoid something, whip almost uncontrollably through air to be able to set yourself on a safe path, or your speed control is bad enough that the need to move quickly to avoid things makes you zoom right into one anyway. This is just movement; the way this is set up, you DO NOT make hearts unavailable to get. MAYBE disappear after 5 or 7 seconds, but this falling off the screen routine is just a load of crap. It's even worse when there are still projectiles left onscreen AND more are quickly on the way. At least, there should be a 3 second reprieve to clear projectiles and get hearts which SHOULD stay where they are on the ground. At least, those would be the best differences in my opinion.

Don't know what everyone is complaining about - I finished it with 20 lives ;) only kidding, it's very tough, I got lucky and had very good timing on my final run, up to 29 lives for the final boss! If you're in a very tight situation, don't be afraid to go up and over enemies, especially boss 6 and 7 or the green missiles...

*sigh* OK, filling half the area with grenades or making two or three lines of lasers that fire so much it literally connects from them to the ground is no longer a matter of skill, it's fake difficulty.
