Under rating threshold (show) Once you have a bounty higher than 5000 it would be nice to have the option to start on a higher level. Once you are at that skill level, it makes the first couple of levels seem like a meaningless grind.

Under rating threshold (show) A suggestion would be that you can buy visual gear, effects, scenery etc for the loot. So that way people can get their "upgrades"! :)

Under rating threshold (show) if the controls is a little bit challenging for you, you can change the controls option... i changed mine too AWSD and dagger=E, slide=SPACE, parachute=Q. my configuration is easier to master and only need 1 hand. click + so everyone can see

Also, I like the current upgrade system, where you can unlock visual upgrades only, but not buy stuff to help you in-game, since this means you can finish the game as quickly or as slowly as your own skill lets you, and you don't have to grind grind grind for those upgrades you can't live without. However, I agree it would be nice to have stuff you could buy with the loot or achievements that's more than visual upgrades for your avatar. Maybe unlock additional content like different areas or locations within existing levels (new pieces that would be included in the random generation process); these could make the initial areas harder while also giving you more reward, and would also fix the problem with experienced players being bored of grinding through the first levels every time they restart. I'd also base these unlocks on achievements rather than loot since the game would still be skill-based and not grind-based.

Under rating threshold (show) Just suggestions here: - Equipping other weapons gave you different options? - same with the suits, maybe some gave a little speed, others higher jumping But anyways, i really loved the game, hope there will be one more :)

Under rating threshold (show) My only minor gripe is that you can play a lot of it from memory, but if you made it a random level generator, it creates drawbacks such as impossible to survive in situations, so I see why you did this. Other than that though, this is one of the best games kongregate's recieved in a while. GAME DEVELOPERS TAKE HEED, I think the reason for this is that there are no upgrades. Gameplay is based on skill, and designed accordingly. The game is very nicely polished, and the flow is great, which is what these running games strive for. An exceptional survival game. 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) Also, I can never tell which floors I can actually drop through by pressing down, so I often find myself repeatedly pressing down and simply walking forward to my death. It would be great if you made the floors that you can drop though more easily recognizable.

Under rating threshold (show) Have you ever played Amorphous+ ? You unlock upgrades but you can only use 2 at the same time, and they are pretty much just powerups, maybe it could have been a good 'upgrade' sistem for this game.

Under rating threshold (show) I find this game very addictive, but at the same time it gets really boring when you start over all the time.. I know that you have added visual upgrades, but it would be much better, at least for me, if the game had a "Shop" or "Upgrades" section where we could buy and upgrade stuff with the money we get from the runs, thanks!

The current game has not be made for an upgrades system... I understand you don't like it, but I can't change it at this time. However, I plan lot of stuff for the sequel :)

Under rating threshold (show) I can't exactly pinpoint why, but the fun factor just wasn't there. It had many good factors doing a great job for this game, but it just didn't work out... Maybe upgrades would help? Maybe replaying levels was just plain boring and gave you no sense of progress? Maybe the loot could help you go further in the game? Anyway, it just didn't cut out for me, although I see the potential in this. Don't throw the concept away, just give it more polish. Since you're reading and answering people's comments/suggestions, I bet we can have a great sequel! =)

Under rating threshold (show) They should make upgrades for the Character... He should have like super stars or something like that.. also even though this game is fun, after you get really far and die, you have to start over, and that is annoying. So to fix that you should just make it where you move faster in the rounds you passed and for the ones you didn't keep them regular speed. 4/5

Under rating threshold (show) I find too much of the "skill" to this game is memorizing the different possible areas. After a few zones, the character is just too slow to get where you need him if you don't know that in advance.

Under rating threshold (show) It would have been nice to have access to the challenges earlier. I think they're almost universally more interesting than the base game, and 5k reward takes long enough to get up to that people might quit before then and never see them.

I understand. But I had to find a way to limit double jumps because the game would have been to easy with infinite double jumps. I will find a better way to make it works in Rogue Soul 2 !

Under rating threshold (show) PROTIPS: Sliding can easily kill everything except Spearmen. / The Black Captain is just a glorified Spearman. Jump over the wave and kill him. / Save your daggers for Brutes and Captains. / The [!] signs mark guards, the skull sign marks natural hazards. / You can double-jump whilst on a parachute. This is the only way to kill the Archer [!] boss. / If in doubt, go high. Falling is easier than jumping. / Assassins' daggers can kill their own guys. / There are many places you can only go by running backwards. / That Brute is *always* using his axe. / Captains will die mid-rush if you slide towards them. / If you see an armour powerup, go for it above all else. / Avoid the pendulums. If you can't do that, slide under them. / Stay in the middle. You'll have room to retreat, but won't be caught by surprise. / See a line of enemies? Throw daggers at them. / Parachutes are there for a reason; you'll probably need them. / You have three lives, so use them well. / + so everyone can see!

Under rating threshold (show) I think the fact that there are different enemies, obstacles, and the such in later zones is enough in the upgrade department. The main reason I find upgrades of some sort important is so that the game doesn't get stale. Some visual variation would be welcomed. Love the game, it's super fun!

Parachutes and Daggers are optional indeed ! But if you learn well how to use them, you can catch some impossible treasures or enemies, so it means more Combo and more Rewards.
