Under rating threshold (show) Very nice game. A few things to note though. 1) The wall hug that allows you to jump off walls sometimes gets in the way of what your trying to do in an intense moment. 2) The ending was a little dissapointing, the way the game was flowing i was kinda in the mind set that something terrible would be revealed at the end. Now although that didnt happen, the actual ending just didn't have enough to it i was kinda hopeing to see him actually rejoin with his family instead of it just implying he did. 3) Maybe add a few checkpoints in the really difficult areas. I mean one reason that i almost stopped playing a few times is that i would do some really crazy shit and then have to redo it cause i accidentaly screwed up before there was another checkpoint. 4) Forget #2 while typing this the credits were rolling and i heard the music shift so i looked up at the game screen. Ending is no longer dissapointing at all =D

Under rating threshold (show) A couple suggestions: 1. Remappable keys. I found straddling space shift and R to be pretty darn awkward. 2. Recap all text bubbles the player activated at the end of the level. I can't dodge, plan my next jump and speed read at the same time.

Under rating threshold (show) Its a good game, but the wall jump controls are not good, you have no control over when they activate which continually gets in the way, and they are very counter-intuitive, when intuitive use is critical for wall-jump controls.

Under rating threshold (show) Could be a great game... The play control was horrible. I can't count how many times I pressed jump and nothing happened. The wall jump mechanic was also horribly broken. This is not forgivable in a platformer.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice game. However, I'd like it if there were a key to prioritize double-jump over wall-jump instead. Say, up arrow double-jumps and if it can't, wall jumps, and space bar wall-jumps and if it can't, double jumps.

Under rating threshold (show) 1.0.2 seems to have improved the responsiveness of the controls to a decent enough level. Thanks or looking into that and fixing it -- it's great to see a developer respond so quickly to problems raised by the players. Unfortunately, level 3 is so frustratingly hard that I'm still not interested in the game but, hey, there'll be people who don't like it whatever you do. I look forward to seeing more of your games.

Under rating threshold (show) Besides the problem with running jumps I also think that he should not automatically stick to walls. Instead he should only grab it when the the key in that direction is pressed and release as soon as the button is released.

Under rating threshold (show) I really want to like this game. I made it through all the forest levels, which, while took some frustration, were playable. But it seems like, even with the quality set to low, the further along you make it, the less responsive the controls are. I invented some interesting and new profanity in the butcher levels.

Under rating threshold (show) This is the first game since meatboy that's made me hit my computer, ragequit for a couple of minutes only to return and repeat the process. I LOVE IT! But there is two things that really annoy me (except for the fact that I obviously suck at platformers): 1: I don't like to miss any of the story, but when I hurry to avoid spikes and such the bubbles dissappear before I can read them. 2. WALLJUMP LAG! Driving me insane! I press space, but do I jump? NO! Gah!

Under rating threshold (show) Even after 1.0.35 update, wall jump just makes me abandon this game. I was able to navigate levels masterfully before I picked up this upgrade, but now I'm always sticking to every vertical surface I come across. I would suggest decreasing the time it takes to cancel out of the wall slide, but that might make wall jumping trickier. Dunno, but it definitely needs some kind of fix.

Under rating threshold (show) I have to say, this is one of the best games of this style that I've played. The difficulty is right in the sweet zone where it's hard and frustrating but not so hard that an average player can't do it with enough tries. The storyline is alright, it provides a good excuse for the hard butcher levels. A quick fault was on the last level, with a text box, the one where you have to run halfway and jump up into a space to avoid spikes. It's unreadable, would be a simple fix.

Under rating threshold (show) ok,so i beat the game completely,but for some reason didnt get the trophy for completing tenth level...also i pressed every button,including discovering the hidden debug button,but could find no quality button that would give me a trophy...so missing 3 trophies,all of which earned(the third and final is all trophies gotten)... needless to say,after all that painstaking work,it would be nice if the rewards were actually awarded to me... now back to my essay...(great game for procrastination btw)

Under rating threshold (show) I think I know what people are complaining so much about the wall jump. You have to hug the wall and then push diretion of the wall + jump. That makes it hard to zig zag. Making it just hold the wall + jump would be easier... but there's another problem. Wall hugging sometimes seems to get in the way of double jumping. If you simplify wall jumping, the other problem is gonna get worse... I can't think of anything better than a wall hug button, but I'm not sure it's such a good idea.

Under rating threshold (show) It wants to be a good game, but it just isn't. I can do all the actions necessary to get through the harder levels, but the controls just are not allowing me. Fix the controls and you have a good game.

Under rating threshold (show) After still more testing with the assistance of a friend, there is also some very minor input lag when sprinting in levels with a high density of events on screen, such as Butchery 2's central section. Even so, the input lag is much, much smaller than that on other levels, and non-existant in that level when you are not sprinting.

Under rating threshold (show) @luqui01 Its like making an fps with a trigger that worked half the time. Any time you make a game thats flawed at the most basic level, its not a great game. This game could be really good with just a little listening and tweaking. It could be a 5/5 game but now its at most a 3/5.
