I kinda like this game and the animations, but to be honest some dialogues sound a bit awkward to me.
Anyway, when I started playing the first thing that came to my mind was "Okay, this game needs a Hitbox". Next thing: Boss Health. Now, I know you made them flash when they are low on HP but that's just not the same. A Health Bar would be much more convenient (but maybe that's just me). Collecting stuff is annoying and a "magnet" upgrade would be wonderful! I didn't notice any real difference when upgrading flying speed, maybe that's a bug? Also it irritated me that this game is not finished yet (?). After the last available level Eva just says something implying the game will continue, but it doesn't. You should add a note or a screen saying that the game isn't finished yet after beating the last Mission. That's all for now, keep up the good work!

A few suggestions:
1) The dragon needs a "magnet" ability that draws money and energy towards him that is upgradeable.
2) The dragon also needs the ability to upgrade the blue bar, so the power can be used for longer periods of time when full and the blue bar can fill itself multiple times (IE; upgrade the blue bar once and you can have 2 full bars in reserve, twice you can have 3 full bars etc.) Full bars could be represented by small blue orbs just above the blue bar. Also, the blue bar should be able to be upgradable so you start the level with 1/2/3/4 full bar(s).
Furthermore, I think the dragon's main shot should be changeable (like different weapons) so that he could either have a shot/spread like is currently in the game, or he could have all shots forward. He could also have lasers that would be weaker but would have no travel time, whereas the bullet/shots have to travel to hit.
TLDR; MORE UPGRADES FOR EVERYTHING.

only problem i have, is upgrading speed seems to do little do nothing. this became a issue for me against the final boss's 2nd form, particularly during the black-energy-wave attack.

ok my dragon stopped shooting too. had potential but laser boss and the sluggish speed (even after upgraded) sucks. i had more fun playing the motorcycle because i could dodge bullets like its teh fckin matrix than the rest of the levels

At the end of the first boss the game froze. It got stuck after the motorcycle went off, with two pictures of the one chick ( never got past to know her name ).

It's a lot of fun and a good challenge, but the script is really bad. Try to find a willing writer to buff out the dents in the dialogue and plot.

Desperately needs one of two things: 1) the ability to reply older levels and grind, and 2) a SAVE system. Actually, both will be essential for you to get a good rating for this game.

This girl was in danger. Then you know what saved her? A glitch started that i finish killing the boss. Really need to game to be fix because this game is like fun. Thanks for saving the girl in the mortorcycles life but we can save her with out skills so please fix this! Thank you! -NoObDaDa

erm, the boss that splits into 3 is bugged, i killed 4 of its copies, then the last one just wouldn't die, i spent 15mins attacking it with 3 DXU and nothing.

Really seems like there is supposed to be a movie or further dialogue between level 1 and 2 but it just goes from "wonder why they're chasing me?" to flying around in half dragon form with absolutely no explanation or even a notification that the egg hatched... Is that a bug or is there really just nothing between the two?

This game is, in one word: epic :O. All the bosses the were unique, especially the white Gundam on steroids (level 8) :). Keep up the good work, I look forward to Dragon Rescue 2!

Also, the penalty for losing a level is a little high. Many times I'm retrying levels three or for times and nothing is getting improved. It may require a little re-balancing in the rewards but it would help a bunch.

Also it'd be good if you include health powerups (just like DXP ones, but red). It'll make game more balanced.

At first glance, I gave this game a 3... but once i saw that the creators actually LISTEN to our comments i gave it a 5/5. You have no idea how amazing that is.

Good game, two comments. Don't need to see the cut scenes on replays and don't make your powerups look like the bullets. Make one of them red or something.

Hi, nice game, everybody ask for what's obvious, hitbox, boss bar and magnet, please also change the color of bonuses or ennemy bullets, everything's blue and you mix between a dx bonus or a bullet

To the developer:
1. Please be a little more clear about what the hitbox is.
2. Provide quality adjustment. Your graphics are great, but my laptop's speed is not :(
3. From a UX perspective, it's very easy to miss the second of two tabs (in this case "Abilities").

Yea, the bug where it stops firing, still going on. Was replying the levels and lv 4 just would not let me attack at all, normal shots and dragon shots both stopped after the heli at the start. Also sometimes the bars glitch out, show full when infact they are not.

The bug on the boss on the level where he splits into 3 isnt fixed, I kill the boss but cant kill two of his clones ever, then when I replay the level they keep shooting at me from the start at the level but are invisible....

well it seems to have potential but i freeze out after the first boss, two pictures come up. top right/bottom left and a black bar across the top and bottom. not sure why but your game loop might not always be breaking.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that I got none of the money from a level that I died on. And if that is indeed the case, it really shouldn't be.

I'm typing this as I endlessly fly in this level/area where there is nothing. I passed a few giant fuel tanks, but after that, nothing.

Overall, I liked this game, and I thought it was a pretty good shooter. However, I do have one issue: Collecting stuff is way too hard. At some times, it felt like getting enough money for the upgrades I wanted was harder than actually beating the level. It seems small, but I think the game would be much better if this issue was fixed.

i'd like to see more upgrades... magnet ability upgrades is a MUST for all shooter+coin collector games IMO... and i'd like an option to disable the background scrolling... its kinda distracting and worst still, it gives me a headache after a while T.T
Agree with the rest, i would like the bosses to show a health bar on top of the flashing. Hope to see DR2 soon!

I really like this game, and totally agree with the description of bosses; some of them ARE vicious :D Also, i agree with some suggestions : a life bar for bosses would be very convenient. I also agree with the "magnet" upgarde, it would be great. Anyway, keep on doing great games like this one ! ;)

WOW! You guys did a great job there! Honestly, this seems to be the smoothest running SHMUP flash game that is out there! No lags, no delay, the game is running so fine it's almost creepy.
What have all the other developers done wrong before you that you did right?
5/5 stars from me for your MAGNIFICENT game engine!
Although I am not much appealed by the story itself and find the story/gameplay too streamlined it is still a very well made game. Also I am not much of a fan of SHMUPs where your enemy just fires downwards not caring if you are even there in the first place.
Ok, thats just personal preferences, like everyone else I am still hoping for games that can live up to Raptor and Wings of Death - but thats more wishful thinking.
BUT I have to mention again, you still did a great job with this game. It is good to see a developer caring about the ideas and problems that players have with their game.

core game is fun, but the controls are sluggish, the scripting is bad and sometimes incoherent, and the mechanics need to be refined.
all in all, though, this is the rough start of a potentially great game series.
if you get someone to polish the script and make the controls more elegant.

i think this girl needs to be a little more...skeptical, if it was me and i heard that my soul was connected to a dragon in a rare event that happens once every 10000 years, i really doubt i'd be calm and say "perfect, i understand now"

What an interesting concept of protection orbs. Not the casual orbs-flying-around-your-character.
One remark though. The laser state of the 4th boss is just a big no-no. If you don't have enough speed, it's litteraly impossible to dodge them. A bossfight should depend on upgrades, but on your skill. Other than that, great game.
