I totally used the Shift-S cheat to get a ton of money. Rather than cheating, however, I felt that I was accurately simulating being born into a rich family, which I feel is a much more common route to douchebaggery than actually working for your money.

Actually, desuforeverlulz, it's a capital S for money and a capital U for reversing time. It doesn't matter whether you do shift-letter or just press the letter while caps lock is on.
I hope that clears up any confusion.

Shift + S = Plus 10 money
Shift + I = Get 1 hour Forward

It would be great that every 1/4 of upgrade changed something more that the looks, for example, tunned car would make it faster to go to one place to another, crib would make you wake up sooner, mass would make your energy to go down slowlier, etc

I'm super glad the developer decided to put the Shift-S cheat in because its a lot easier to be a huge douchebag when you are just given your money and you dont have to work for it.
