i dont see anything original here, and balloon in a wasteland did it better. having an all powerful fast regenerating special attack (the nephew) is a bit too convienient. time to climb tower negates any benefit of faster regen, and no way off other than ladder. turrets are hopelessly weak. for the final assult, the weapon is so overpowered all 50 opponents could be released/mowed down at once. cute graphics...

Interesting little "defend the structure" game. The point, as much as there seems to be one, is purely that: rebuild your house whilst occasionally 'sleeping'. I found the second weapon, when upgraded, to be vastly overpowered, but as far as cutesy introductions to the genre go, I think I would be fairly comfortable with letting any under-5s blast invading humans with acorn shotguns and chicken bazookas. A reasonably competent ten-minuter, with some nice animations, and few glaring drawbacks (other than the futility of climbing to the top of your trollish tower of increasingly unstable height for the sole purpose of faster stamina restoration, when staying on the ground worked just fine. )

this reminds me unpleasantly of Balloon in a Wasteland. "unpleasant" because Balloon did this just so much better. For example, I have no idea what weapons are/do until i buy and use them. Being required to use your pathetic mobility to go pick up the quickly disappearing widely scattering coins. The inability to pass the sign to do anything (such as pick up coins), despite being able to shoot and kill beyond it. The complete lack of any clear objective on what to do to 'finish'. I've no purchased all the weapons and upgrades, completely built the tallest tower and bought the turrets. For lack of idea what to do now, I perpetually sit atop the tower and watch waves of humanity pass by...

So... everyone has said most of what I have to say already, so instead of beating a dead horse, I'll make another point... Developers, make a debug version for yourself. In this debug version, put a counter for each coin that disappears, rather than be collected. Have said counter displayed at the end screen, and multiply that by the same amount you multiply the players money by, and display "total money collected" and "total money missed" side by side... My guess is, the money missed will be well over equal to the money collected. This is a problem, and a big one, and grounds for me to say you didn't test this very well.
