Try a more explosive sound for the pistol, that would be much better. So much potential after solved what wolfgang already said. Also, try to better the graphics for indicators such as the life remaining or the bullets. 3/5 (almost made it to 4, but not just yet)

This game has potential…if only every bad guy didn’t wear exactly the same thing, fall exactly the same way when they die, or make exactly the same death noise. Otherwise, the rendering and music are done nicely.
