You can only get heroic items from doing the daily Coilfang Reservoir dungeon. Once per day, you can do that heroic dungeon. It'll give you a blue coin for each enemy and a random heroic item when you finish it. Once you reach level 80, the items in the shop become heroic, only able to be purchased with the blue coins you get from the heroic dungeon. + this, please.

Suggestions - On highlighting an area on the map, show the quests available and completed (x/y) and items previous found in that area, miscellaneous or otherwise.
I'm only a single developer and unfortunately my shortsightedness when originally developing this game has made this suggestion EXTREMELY difficult. I could pour hours of development into correcting it, but it won't be fun for me and more importantly it won't be fun for anyone else, since I could put that time into adding more fun to the game. I agree that this should be there, unfortunately I didn't plan for it originally and I'm currently prioritizing fun features over convenience features.

I know this might be alot of coding but here are a few suggestions:A few more dungoens:The Barrens-The Wailing Caverns/Razorfen Kraul. Silverpine Forest-Shadowfang Keep. Goldshire-Stormwind Stockade. Dragon Blight-Azjol-Nerub. Also Scarlet monastry should be moved from Arahti Highlands to Trisifal Glades, and i know it is because of the lvl requirments...still it doesn't feel right with me. Now for a few more landscapes...:Felwood, Silithius-With the cool raid ofcourse-, Azshara , Eastern Western or just Plaugelands. Rate up so developer can see!

OK, whew lol, seems things got a little heated in here without me. I didn't have time to look at anything this weekend or Monday, which may happen from time to time. Thanks so much for all the comments, this may have gotten a little big for me to handle (This is just a spare time project for me). Things are actaully getting a bit difficult to sort through, I'd like to answer everyone but it seems with this many comments they will never see my answer by the time I get around to it. I'm looking into a forum right now.

UPDATE: I'm currently working on a sequel, Grindquest cataclysm, that will be released in about a month. In progress features are Hunter class (possibly warlock also), flasks, 85 level cap, 4 new max level zones and raiding. Also some things that never worked properly will be removed to simplify things, like dueling and the character level lists on my seperate site.
I'd be extremely interested to hear any other ideas, particularly ones that would effect play at all levels and add interesting choices/mechanics to the 1-85 trip (as opposed to just max level things).

Does the game respond at all, when you press play?
About this game:
-it is mainly about grinding
-you can adjust some settings: when to rest, how big the mob is you pull, what kind of items to loot, etc...
-this is not an active game, you mainly let it run while you're doing something else (working, homework, going to school etc...)
-after you reach a certain lvl you move (manually!) to the next area
-It is important to equip useful loot (for it decreases the amount of times you need to rest or resurrect)
-You can dual other people by giving your dual code in the chat and stuff

bug with the bank: if you bank a stack of common items (e.g. crafting mats), then earn another item, you'll then have two stacks of that item. It is not possible to merge these two stacks. Banking the second stack will create a third stack. etc., up to five. I am not currently in a position to investigate whether this directly causes problems with crafting e.g. only the first stack looked at (which might be a very small stack), or only one stack used at a time.

Game is good and all but you might want to consider to make skill items stackable if you put them in the bank at different times

Suggestions: For aesthetics, it'd be nice if there were portrait options, nothing super fancy, just a male/female portrait for each race, and your race/level would be displayed in the top left or bottom right portion of the screen. Also, adding potions (to the shop) that can be used automatically once your health bar reaches a certain point would be nice. + if you're interested in these suggestions.

I have to admit, watching an energy bar take damage is all I was really doing in most MMORPGS... This game is oddly satisfying, the skill trees make a big difference.
Yes. They hacked using a method that I won't name that works with any flash game really. The real question is why they felt the need to, this game has no badges and is only fun because you can watch your progress :/

I would like to see more weapon and equipment types in either the shop or crafting window. Otherwise, very good. Also, I'd love to see a Warlock class ^_^ Little love my main character type.

Streamlined travel/questing. Characters will now begin questing as soon as they arrive in a new zone, and begin grinding as soon as all the quests in a zone are completed.
Yessir, new version is taking longer than expected unfortunately. Will be here sometime this spring. The good news is that means there's still plenty of time to cram in new features, so keep the ideas coming. Thanks!

@skyrimfan11 the point of this game is that you dont have to play in order to get items and exp. it is an idle game. if you took the time to read the info, you would understand this.

Abra, this game is sweet. I usually jump from flash game to flash game looking for the next fun thing, and this is it. I'm bashful to admit that I actually watch it sometimes - but mostly it's just a comfort to know that GrindQuest is working in the background doing all the work for me.
Admittedly, I'm like an anxious father watching and preening.

Small bug - When pulling more than one enemy at a time and having the "wait for CD button" checked, after one enemy is killed all attacks stop until all skills refresh.
Meanwhile, enemy 2 keeps wailing away...

@Sareve Thanks, but it's not working for me. I'm Level 72 now with 1957 Int (Level 72 Epic Armor [+873], 71 Epic Wand [+590], and 71 Epic Book [+337]), specced exactly as you said (12 unallocated points instead of 10, since I'm 2 levels higher), and Hungarfen consistently has 3k+ remaining HP when I die. I let it cycle thru to death 6 times to see if it was just a random unlucky fluke.

@chaosguard People tend to vote down things that have been asked and answered. Try the workaround in the FAQ. It tells you how to modify the setting in flash that is causing your problem, it is a flash issue, not a GQ issue.

@Abra: Bugs in 1.3. Shields no longer add hp. Switching to my heroic axe negates the strength bonus from my armor...drops from 2427 with my heroic sword and heroic armor to 1461 with my heroic axe.

well said Nilloe, agree on all points, esspecially the 50 25% one, i often find resting at 50% too early, while 25% is too late. often the perfect timing to rest seems to be around 35% hp. Shame i can't choose to rest in that area.

You should change it so that you return quests before you rest. Because sometimes returning quests levels and heals the character.

Actually buzzkills, it is. Courts have ruled that if anything is directly taken from another game it is considered theft. However, the developer specifically stated things were taken from Blizzard, giving them credit. Sure it should be included in the game and listing everything that was taken, but it is there in it's most basic form none the less. So no, nothing illegal is going on.

Ah...stacking. That will be a pain in the ass to fix. For now, realize that there is no way to merge them and plan accordingly. Also crafting will only work if any one of your stacks is large enough. Sorry this will take time to fix. Better to have banks with a small problem than no banks tho yes?

This reminds me of Progress Quest, except this is heavily based on WoW, whereas PQ is based on MMO grinders in general. And it doesn't have any graphics. And there's less to do, since your character goes to the market for you and everything.

Suggestion,add a "Drop" or "Destroy" option for when you just cant be bothered to visit the shop to clean up your inventory from useless crap!

BUG: If you select "WAIT FOR CD" in the settings menu, your character will not attack ADDS unless all cooldowns are ready. Meaning that the character will just be attacked and NOT autoattack or use abilities against mob number 2 while waiting for cooldowns after he killed the 1st mob and moving onto 2nd mob.

@Poo Shoe Your rogue class can kill one enemy at a time much faster than my priest, but I can take on 3 enemies. It balances out.

There this strange thing that happens when you have the wait for cooldown on and you get attacked by 2 mobs. I saw my priest stand there and wait for cooldowns while getting beat to death. Need some kind of functionality put in place where you dont wait while there are still mobs up. Also, I did not test but does the priest wait the whole 220seconds for the cooldown of resurrect if you die and have wait for cooldown active?

You should replace the Craft Armor icon with a Professions icon that will open a popup with 3 or 4 professions ex// Craft armor/weapons, Alchemy, Enchanting, etc. :) up this comment if you agree!

Suggestions - select the priority in witch the spells are sent. Cause, sometimes, the right spell is never sent, and we get killed -_-
