Adapted from wikipedia: "Laika was a Soviet space dog that became the first animal to orbit the Earth – as well as the first animal to die in orbit. 'Laika' is the Russian name for several breeds of dogs similar to the husky; in Russian it literally means 'barker'. The American press dubbed her 'Muttnik' as a pun on Sputnik. She was launched into outer space on November 3, 1957 aboard Sputnik 2. Laika likely died within hours after launch from stress and overheating (due to a malfunction of the temperature control system). Over five months later, Sputnik 2 disintegrated—along with Laika's remains—during re-entry. On April 11, 2008, a small monument in her honor was built near the military research facility in Moscow which prepared Laika's flight to space. It features a dog standing on top of a rocket." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laika. Poor girl.

The hidroponics lab's song is like telling you: ''Remember me? We were unseparable friends. We had great fun with each other. But one day, it all changed...'' It makes you think about the past... Oh, by the way, great game, and great ending too! Hope to see another similar (or not) game about K10 :P

The only thing I dislike about the game is the escape part, it should be the best, but without an awesome song nor timer isn't the same. 5/5 anyway

Whoo! Finally beat the game. Took a grand total playtime of 2:05:35:00. Rescued ALL 31 puppies and the kitten. Watching that epilogue though, I'm not sure the kitten was a good idea....

SPOILER ALERT
If you don't pick up kitty, he sends a distress signal while you and the puppies escape, barking happily. nothing blows up. That's literally all that happens.

Honestly this game should have badges. It's a solid platformer with a lot of charm. There are many games that are objectively worse than this game that have badges, but maybe I'm missing out on some context. I know the rating isn't like the 4.1 or whatever it needs, but it wouldn't shock me to hear that it was that high in the past(I mean it was made in 2011).

Despite the obvious aesthetic influences, this is not actually a metroidvania game. Just a open world puzzle platformer. Please down vote the metroidvania tag.

Excellent game. You guys haven't lost your touch since Give Up Robot. The platformer scene has been pretty quiet since old-school handheld game consoles have been retired. And when I say platformer, I mean an abusive, unforgiving, nightmare of a game that the player feels proud to complete, not the soft and cuddly crap most developers spew out like so much sh*t. I hope you guys keep experimenting with interesting game mechanics like this - you are breaking new ground in the genre, while still upholding the grand tradition of stressful-yet-satisfying gameplay.

Found the controls slightly irritating - it's quite difficult to turn on the spot to face the opposite direction without taking a step that way. Made some of the harder puzzles very difficult. Apart from that, great fun

a common annoyance in games like this is that turning around is almost impossible without moving away from where you were standing. it's really annoying, why is there no way to turn around without moving?

2:35:09 for a 100% run, I'll admit, for a game this old now, it's still a joy to play. Great soundtrack, great art, fairly comical dialogue, rather unique puzzle concept. 5/5, even just short of 6 years after release.

Challenging and interesting puzzles, but the controls and their wonkiness make me scream bloody murder. Half the time during tricky timing sequences it will decide to lock up running right for instance, or not react to keypresses for half a second. Not to mention that way too many puzzles are conveniently placed right next to the screen edge, so you will run outside and reset the layout.
