I liked this game better than metroid itself. No shooting orgies, small timing puzzles and a lot of logic packed into a neta platformer. More like this, plz!

There are often checkpoints before easy puzzles, but difficult puzzles tend to have checkpoints two screens away. This is especially prominent on timing puzzles, where the constant walking and sometimes even complex jumps throw you off balance beforehand, not allowing you to focus on the puzzle itself.

2:35:09 for a 100% run, I'll admit, for a game this old now, it's still a joy to play. Great soundtrack, great art, fairly comical dialogue, rather unique puzzle concept. 5/5, even just short of 6 years after release.

Honestly this game should have badges. It's a solid platformer with a lot of charm. There are many games that are objectively worse than this game that have badges, but maybe I'm missing out on some context. I know the rating isn't like the 4.1 or whatever it needs, but it wouldn't shock me to hear that it was that high in the past(I mean it was made in 2011).

Whoo! Finally beat the game. Took a grand total playtime of 2:05:35:00. Rescued ALL 31 puppies and the kitten. Watching that epilogue though, I'm not sure the kitten was a good idea....

Great game. I was hoping there'd be a joke if I just hopped back in the ship without saving anyone, but no. :sigh: On another note, I think there was a puzzle I did an unintentional way, because there's a room I've never gone through, and have no clue how to do. In a room you enter from above, with 2 bombs, where 1 is riding a conveyor belt right, you can land on a platform, wait for the bomb to fall, and swap with it.

I agree with Cevgar that this isn't a real metroidvania game, I think that most metroidvania fans might find this a nice quick game up their alley. To be a genuine metroidvania you would need some collectible upgrades that expand where can travel on the map, which this doesn't have, but I don't feel that this game would be improved by their arbitrary addition.

Despite the obvious aesthetic influences, this is not actually a metroidvania game. Just a open world puzzle platformer. Please down vote the metroidvania tag.

Was quite a nice game.
The last fight confused me especially cause of the "Dont block!" sign.
But overall quite a great game. ^^

Square J1 in the map (1st line, 10th column), it seem have something here, like a secret zone. Anyone know what it is ? And how to go there ?

Last time I played this I rescued the cat but it plotted against the puppies...
So this time I left the cat behind so when I left the cat beeped the distress signal and now I feel bad :(
