Under rating threshold (show) For those who are having trouble getting the badge, here's the walkthrough: (NOTES: Supernatural Glasses is abbreviated as SG) ---- (1.) Click the stairs (it will allow you to use your crowbar later) ---- (2.) Head to the laboratory > click laboratory equipment > click the vial > bring the vial from your inventory and click on the objects in order: Red Slime > Green Goo > Blue Water (WARNING: If you do it in wrong order, you'll kill the ghost and you are not allowed to earn the badge which forces yourself to refresh the game and start all over again) > give the long living potion to the Gentleman Ghost > click the crowbar > exit the laboratory (Press + to keep this comment alive. Sorry for that stupid 1k character restriction, so I have to save parts in order.)

Under rating threshold (show) I hate how you have to do things in a certain order in this game. Just let me pick up the mint leaves. Also, I tried the crowbar on the door before going up the stairs and it says "that doesn't seem to work". Apparently crowbars only work after your stairs have fallen in.

Under rating threshold (show) 5/5, loved the feel of this game, the music, the humour, the story, it takes me back to old computer games like Monkey Island. If this was a 'feature length' game like Monkey Island then I would buy it. There was some clever things in there that test your memory and vigilance. My only gripe is that he gets stuck on things, it would be nice if he automatically walked around blockades. Unfortunately, this is common in this kind of game though. Another thing I liked is that you could play it how you wanted, if you did things ahead of the quest it didn't screw up the game play. You are free to use your initiative as well as simply reading from a check list.

Under rating threshold (show) Grandma ghost is extremely cute. :) I liked the game and it's art but it was really a bit short. Suggestion: Make the journal flash or show a little pop up at the bottom saying there's a new journal entry instead of popping the book open each time you solve something. That was really annoying and I shut it trying not to read anything since I didn't want to spoil the "solved w/o hints"-feeling. Anyways, the game was extremely easy wich isn't a bad thing in general (new players, children playing etc), but some optional, more in depth-puzzles for the advanced adventurer would have been nice.

Under rating threshold (show) I've had this issue several times now. On occasion, Rupert forgets how to mave. He makes a quick, jerky step but doesn't move. After that i can't get him to move no matter what i click. I've had to reload numerous times, which is upsetting because i'm enjoying the game otherwise.

Nov. 15, 2010

Under rating threshold (show) Buggy gameplay with terrible feedback on items "Oh, I will need that later, but I can't take it now...because." You have mastered the perfect mix of frustrating point-of-no-return actions and do-it-again-stupid gameplay to milk extra playthroughs by us. Adventure games always have to stand on their atmosphere and story, since gameplay doesn't really advance in them, and the story was trite and boring. To be fair the art direction was lovely, and the sounds were rather nice, but they were hobbled by a poor core game design that didn't give them the respect they deserved.

Under rating threshold (show) The interface is *infuriating*. Sometimes, you click on something and nothing happens -- not because the object does nothing but because Rupert is too stupid to walk around something to get to it. And then, every now and again, he just gets stuck somewhere and you have to go back to the menu and continue. Come on, guys. This is basic stuff that you have to get right and even the most basic gameplay testing should spot it.

Under rating threshold (show) Very easy point and click game. I liked the art and the story, however, on many occasions Rupert became stuck in place, causing me to have to go back to the menu and hit continue for no reason. Not game breaking, but certainly annoying. The game is also quite laggy, on a computer that never has problem with flash games. 3/5

Under rating threshold (show) The concept for this game is very good. Unfortunately, it has two things that I hate in this genre (graphic adventures/point and click): one, the necessity to do things in a very specific way or a particular order, and the penalty of having to reset the game in case that you didn't do it correctly on your first try; and two, the fact that the game doesn't allow you to pick up objects or to do some actions if you haven't done some other things first (and I'm not referring to the obvious things that have to be done in a particular order to give the game some logic or sense, but rather to simple and common-sense actions like to be able to use the crowbar on the Dinner Hall's closed door anytime, and not only after you tried to go up the stairs... -some people can try to solve the rooms first, and misunderstood the fact that if you don't do things in a particular order you won't get through in the game and end up thinking that the game is bugged or something like that- ).
