I love this game. One of the best parts that I have found is the AI changes its strategy depending on where you place your stronger units. Still waiting for the damn third one. Come on already

I can't believe only 80,000 plays on this game. This is a creative, brilliant strategy game that deserves badges and a solid player base. What it needs is some exposure. Lets get the word out and bump that rating.

Enjoying the game. How about a 'next unit' button and/or a 'you have unused units' reminder?
For folks hating the seiges here's a suggestion - let the enemy general in his castle defeat your unit. So far, this has caused him to advance out of his castle and into my (dead) units' square. Call it a cheat, call it agressive Orcs, I'm calling it a day. 5/5
You have Healing Units like the " Human Priests" or the "Orcs Shamans" in Fantasy Kommander-Eukarion Wars: http://www.slitherine.com/games/fantaskommew

love the game, loved the first one aswell... seriously hope for a third one to come out. too bad you can't play the other two races and that it doesn't have badges but other than that 4.9/5

Love the units and upgrading system. This could be so addictive, but i mostly find it frustrating: I gotta city surrounded. I pelt it with crossbows each turn, knocking their general's defenses down to 0. But I still can't do more than 1 point damage with my melees (including general) while taking 12-20 damage in return. Can't sustain that. Now I exchange damage more evenly when he foolishly attacks 1 of my melees (who's supported) each turn. I could live with that except the game doesn't give enuf time to wait that out. And money being so tight, i don't see me getting far if i don't usually cash in on the secondary objectives. I can see how i could have played it better, but the battle was so large and time-consuming and I can also see how i might have to play it a few times in order to figure out the perfect sequence of moves needed to beat the clock. Many ways to make a game like this challenging. Strict turn limits just happens to be my least favorite way.

Can't believe this amazing game isn't more popular around here. Several suggestions for potential patches / sequels:
-archery units need tweaking, they're not very useful as it is and are wasted on many maps because of the "clear shooting path" rule. Perhaps simply reduce effectiveness or range when shooting through obstacles
-weak/awful/critical attacks have a huge impact on the battles, especially later on, with powerful high-level units. I don't mind a degree of randomness, but this mechanic should be maybe changed to -33%/+33% and no "misses"
-as some people already pointed out, a "next unit" button would be great
-centering screen on enemy units taking action during enemy turns would also be extremely helpful, especially on larger maps
-hotkey for orienting units

Great game. Finished it several times and keep coming back.
About the 3rd battle (the orc general in the castle):
You need to accumulate damage overtime. Use all your archers, then the catapult. Park one elite dwarf at a time (switch when low on health) next to the orc but do not attack. He will, and will deal massive damage, but will take some too. Overtime he'll take more and more. After he's at half point have your general attack (after the ranged units) using some of his enhancements. After the orc reaches 100 points have any healthy dwarves join in too. The Orc will fall. This works for me every time.

wow a great game. i wish i can change class my unit or upgrade it. and personalize my unit... what a great game. i wish there are more sequel and badge for it..... and some publicity doesn't hurt either

The fact that it allows you to use more units and the attack values aren't as random make this a great upgrade to the first game. Too bad the 3rd one is pay to play only.

It's intriguing how the comments are so controversial to each other... people all think different things about it-crap, amazing, boring, great.
Also, if you want to play the other 2 commanders just get the hell over to age of games and stop moaning. Sonny 2 is rated amazingly well, and the hydraulic attribute is only on armor games-and hardly anyone complains about that.

Not too far from being a great game. Little things though are just annoying, like the inability to spell (it's 'Orcs' not 'Orchs' as used all through the game) and the way the camera zooms to the bottom right automatically after each turn. I am not sure why so many flash-game creators have trouble finding English translators but it gets annoying. Otherwise though, a well-created game. 4/5.

In the last battle I killed all the forces. Took the altar and surrounded Ledalin yet the time ran out. WTF the altar was destroyed and Ledalin's forces are dead. How could I have lost.

On their site, the original game has Elves reserved for Kongregate sooooooo. But still. 2 races being locked on second game here is a bit much.

so you spend 30 minutes fighting a battle then you only have 2 turns left to kill someone with 1000 hit points, not fun

I loved the first Fantasy Kommander, and I think that this one is a vast improvement on the first. The larger armies that you are able to amass make the game a lot more interesting and make it so that losing a single unit isn't as devastating as it was in the first one.
As for the limited turns and the time it takes to knock out cities, these are things that you need to plan ahead on at the beginning of the level. You can't just randomly start killing people, you have to make very careful strategic decisions if you want to reach all of the objectives.

Those are just from the first 2 battles, also. It's rampant throughout the game though. It's unfortunate that flash games either seem to have good plot/story/spelling or good gameplay/interface, and very rarely both.
I think the designers did a great job with the gameplay and interface (though as some have said it is a rather linear plot and game path for an RPG) but the details overlooked as per above limit its potential.

All your comments were really useful during the development of this new, huge, fantasy wargame.

I hope they keep the bases the units have that make it seem like it's a table top game. Small, nice touches like these make me happy to rate this 5 stars.

i really love the game, but i just wish we could farm for money or exp. after the 5th level i am in dept and unable to upgrade my team.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Really under rated. The first one might of been unbalanced by the numerous bugs, but almost all have been fixed in this. Should have a much better rating, as a result, and possibly badges. :| 5/5 For the strategy and graphics in this great turn-based game.
