I actually love how this game only plays it's music when it's on screen, so when I'm tabbing, or listening to youtube, I don't have to hear the music. That was a good addition to the game.

So i'm trying to complete the level unscathed, and i'm dodging every bullet and then i kill the last enemy, i'm already dropping the mouse and then the LAST bullet in the level hits me...

so i charged my core to 100%. but it still needs one more charge. this will be from the boss run my guessing. so i give it a go. well. i just figured out that im not so curious what the full charged core will do anymore.

Which is better Bullets/Rockets/Laser? If you split each weapon and use homing then the Damage per second is the important number.
All Maxed:
Rockets:
Damage = 39
Rate = 15
Count = 3
TOTAL DMG = 117
DAMAGE PER SECOND = 7.8
Bullets:
Damage = 12
Rate = 8
Count = 5
TOTAL DMG = 60
DAMAGE PER SECOND = 7.5
Laser:
Damage = 20
Rate = 9
Count = 4
TOTAL DMG = 108
DAMAGE PER SECOND = 7.2
I nerfed Hyperion somewhat, since so many people complained about him. I guess I've just played it so much he doesn't pose much of a challenge to me anymore.

Once you get the antimatter bomb mod you can farm around 140,000 RP every 4 seconds on the 2nd boss by just dropping them all where he is before he can even shoot.

One of the best & hardest bullet hell games I've completed. Loads of challenging levels, and two really great challenges, LV 25 ( LV 24 was pretty hard too ) and getting though 25 LV's of survival. Great skill / shooter game, rated 5*'s

For all of you people complaining about the music, you could have turned down the music using the music volume slider under options or you could have started muted instead of complaining!

Finally beat the boss run! a few pointers for other brave players challenging the run (no spoilers) 1. for the weapons, use either of the first three x4 with split & homing. Yes I know the damage loss, but homing is a must for later bosses because you'll be running away a lot and the bosses are really small without the outer armor. 2. use the shield for the ship mod. nuff said. 3. there's really no answer for bombs & hull. I personally chose antimatter so I can rush through the hard patterns and red hull because I liked lots of regen, but I'm pretty sure focus regens faster if you have high max focus, and speed is essential for dodging some boss patterns as well. 4. Missles dissapear when they go off-screen. Stick to the screen edges and those pesky missles won't be bothering you (click and hold LMB to prevent losing focus on screen) 5. Don't give up! In the end, boss rush is really about memorizing patterns and getting used to it. Happy hunting!

I was so happy to finally beat the level 5 boss and find out what becomes of the warp core, and you tell me I have to beat harder versions of all the bosses consecutively now? At least there should have been a new upgrade or weapon after beating the final boss. No one needs more money at this point, and projectile velocity means next to nothing. Other than this gripe, I enjoyed the game a good deal.

On level 24, are those big guys considered to be Mini-bosses or Bosses!? Because I was wondering as to how the "Affliction" affects them, as compared to Bosses which you (the creator) already stated: "For affliction, bosses are immune to the slow effect, and 50% resistant to the weakening effect."

@askolan None of the final boss' attacks are unavoidable. If you're talking about the whip, it's got a limited range- if you watch closely you'll see there are parts of the screen it doesn't reach.

Hands down, the best shooter that I have ever played. Tartarus battle is epic, and I like the fact that Tartarus is actually the ship from the original Reactance.

Who keeps deleting me from the high scores for ItemsBought, ItemsSold, and UpgradesPurchased? I grinded them fair and square.

This was a fun and solid game which found that nice balance of challenge just shy of frustration. However the whole 120% warp core thing was just aggravating. The "whoops, no reward yet! Fooled you!" shtick was fun when Mario did it a quarter century ago.....not so much in a bullet-hell shooter. The fact that you only achieve the warp core's reward when it is no longer even useful (read: the absolute completion of the game) doesn't help either. The warp core reward should have been something that the player was capable of achieving through other means, for example with a huge amount of RP. That way for players who are having too much trouble completing the game they have the option of building up to an ultimate upgrade that will help them. In a flash game, once you've beaten the most difficult part and fully completed the game there isn't much incentive to play around with some uber-power upgrade.

At first I was like, "This isn't so hard, why are people saying that it is?" and then I fought Melpomene for the first time.

The moment I saw that money automatically collected to your ship, this game earned a 5/5. One of the simplest concepts in the world, but so many games make such a silly design mistake. Going on to actually play the game, I saw that I was not mistaken in my rating. This is a truly great bullet hell that has all of the little points of polish firmly in place. Good job, developer, and please continue to make great games like this.

I don't get it... Why would I get increased bomb damage for not using them? I think somebody who doesn't use bombs won't benefit of it at all. :|

I have yet to understand how losing part of your ship actually make you more dangerous...
These boss sure are strange.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Be as sceptical as you want about homing lasers, but let me remind you that in the first game we had laser shooting lasers.

I never understood how bosses become stronger as they get damaged. Do they have extra weapons hidden inside so they can only shoot when parts of the ship are already destroyed?

Give us more focus or make Slo-mo more effective with less focus consuming. I get easily killed by Bosses, even If I use Slo-mo... By the way good game! 5/5

Weapons need some serious damage increase! even with full upgrade and fully upgraded modifiers they still take too long to kill even basic enemies, let alone bosses! I have over 2 mil RPs that cant be spent anywhere, maybe increasing the total number of upgrades on all weapons will help out?

Amazing.. I hate bullet hells but this is a 5/5. Reached atropos but whaaaat.. Sory cant keep playing my potato pc is freezed to hell and atropos gave the last blow ..

I admit it's kinda weird when upgrading the poison mod it actually decreases the longevity do deal damage faster instead of the standard increasing longevity to deal more damage in total
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@archerbob just play the game a little and do level 1 and dont hit so many people while dodging everything its much easier

I just did an experiment, and discovered that enemies killed by Splash damage or Acid damage don't count towards the kill count for your weapons. This seems wrong to me. Weapon mods shouldn't prevent the weapon from getting credit for the kill. It was still ultimately that weapon that was used to make the kill. I think this should be changed.
