A protip: To avoid blowing up, even if you get rammed, have an armor celle adjacent to your core at all times. This won't be a panacea, but it helps surviving a stray cannon shot or a faceful of blast.

Feone's guns rule :) Bomb variety has a nice aspect on playing experience, but boss battles become sufficiently longer with bombs.

only thing I don't like is having to regrow lost pieces...because it takes soo long...needs to be where if you lost a piece your growth rate increases until you are back to max, or that the piece will eventually regrow on its own...

Lol, I made a cell that is exactly like the rapid fire cell but it has a HUGE homing range that is prbly like 1cm long in reality

@Haertel, @ multifails, I tend to just place a 2-3 hex gap every so often between larger "sections" of my celle. Those gaps allow force to spread out before causing hell. I'm currently 99 hexes, and I don't go boom unless I really mess up and allow things to continually hit me with the high velocity rounds.

@Multifails: Did you build your cells into a tight ball? A warning comes up when you start getting big, where it warns you that cells are densely packed and may implode. After this point, my cells keep getting caught inside one another causing it to vibrate violently, usually only fixed after another evolution or saving and quitting. The problem is, how should I configure my limbs?...

Great game! One slight problem though that becomes apparent when you get bigger: Ramming. Even the smallest little f***s can blow you to hell by ramming you, which is ridicilous considering they are actively trying to do just that and unless you build yourself mainly out of speed cells, you wont have the speed to dodge them. No, armor cells do nothing to these twerps as they punch through them.

tip for new players. dont rush out to get evolution points or whatever. stay in the safe zone and destroy the grey hexagons. they give quite a large amount of evolution points

I like how you can combine different hexes to make different abilities.
Cool ones: armor+3 Techs=healing forcefield
bomb+techs+speed=homing proximity bombs
bomb+missle+armor=bomb turrets

Here are some ways for people that take screenshots and post them on the forums to possibly get a few friends(or for those who play this game just for fun) to deal with ANY boss:
-Avoiding enemy fire. Moving to one location,stopping, then moving to another location won't help if you go back the way you came from. You'll get cornered,especially if you don't want to move to another area during the fight.
-Cell structure. Spawn armor hexes all the around your main cell area, but make sure the armor hex ring's connected to the central cell via appendages(preferably more armor hexes to keep it all strong).The cell could implode,depending on the size and if there's appendages.

Good game,Archigeek! The in-game achievements are a good way to record your progress,though I think there should be some more achievements,and if possible,being able to take on bosses again once you defeat them.That way you don't have to go too far from start to get more evolutions. Instead,you can just go into an area you haven't touched nearby the start and have a chance to run into a boss.

I dont that Specks shold be considered enemies(exept for Missile and Bomb), because they're both to hard to target, and don't offer a threat, so it should consider "area clear" once the celles that actually are a threat are killed...

noticed a nice bug: during evoling you cannot change the new spawned cell
into that what you want except the surrounding types of celles. If u are changing that hex from which you spawned to another hex (usual mutation), you can freely choose the type of hex to the new spawned, and then changing the one back which you have mutated. So you can spawn any type of hex as a new one which isnt surrounding. Example:You have a missile hex and want to spawn a next to it a speed hex which isnt surrounding. Now you have to spawn a usual missile hex next to it, then changing the one from where you spawned into any other. Now you can freely change the new spawned missile hex into the speed (with that bug you are able to change it to ANY not only to speed its an example) hex which you wanted. The last step is to change the hex, we changed into any other, back.

There should be an option on the homepage called "celle editor", which would allow you to build any celle you want, big or little, any celle, anywhere, and test the celle, so that way you don't need to completely grind over and over and over to get to a combination you like.

heres my strategy, 3 tech and 3 spd like the guy below me, the butt loads of growth. i mean butt. loads. after i get like 7 per evolution i just go balistic with armour, more ultra clusters of spd and tech, and more amour. also DONT FORGET TO SAVE. yeah.

TIPS FOR ALL EXPLORERS:
1 : AS SOON AS YOU ENTER A NEW FIELD, MOVE! When those cannons fire, they hit HARD. Even if you have armor, it's extremely likely that you'll be blasted back into the old field.
2 : Speed Hex's are lifesavers. Forrealz. It's much more efficient in the beginning stages to avoid every missile you see than to tank everything and have to rebuild because one bullet missed your armor.

I must say, I quite enjoy this game. It was a little difficult at first, but the endless potential and combinations kept me at it for a long while.
