At level 75 now. I have killed the boss, found all the fragments, have all the medals, even killed the cat. Now how do I get home?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I had the map reset problem upon killing the final boss. I still managed to go back and collect the power ups and portal fragments.
I laughed because I decided to try to shoot the cat on my way back to kill the boss again and the cat died. I'm guessing this happened because of the changes Arkeus made regarding making all things killable after a certain level (I was level 85). Poor cat died by being drenched in water.

Without the ability to mark (or have the game auto mark) the map, I find I got lost a bit, and ended up losing interest by the end because there were 3 things I had to find, and the majority of my health upgrades didn't seem to take effect. 4/5 for a great game, but it loses that one point quite easily.

just beat the game. wonderfully made! however, the map went blank after I loaded the cleared game and that killed my motivation to look after all the items... perhaps if we get to keep the map even after completion & get x-ray vision through secret walls for beating the final boss, more people would be motivated to keep playing:)

Ok folks, to those who are having major problems figuring out where to go next, click on the 'help' button. Then, just follow the numbers (although, I prefer to get Gust immediately after Chill, because Gust kills things good when charged.) Whenever you see a powerup (speed, jump, heart) get it if you can! This will make sure you have enough to get through the next area (there might be one place you need to backtrack for powerups, but I can't remember.) Try that, hopefully it'll make things easier.

there uses to be a game with a speaking gun a a guy escaping from huge dungeon around, not long ago and the game design was more than similar Arkeus, is it a Coincidence?

There was definitively a point when I was playing this that I felt there was too little direction, but once I figured out where to go, the game was much better. I really do think it would be good to have hints if the player doesn't collect anything for a certain amount of time (or just a hint button). It suffers from a lack of direction, but the game is nearly perfect, so 5/5. I am also experiencing the bug where upon loading, the map is blank again.

Looks like somebody got themselves a shiny new copy of Stencyl. Asside from that, I think not having the enemies respown in a game with this much back tracking is... annoying. Also, what are the levels for?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not bad. I wish the map saved where orbs were so I knew where to go back to. Wasn't hard, wasn't super easy. Time waster. Thought the end boss was too powerful, but there's a lovely bug there. You can stop just prior to the battle triggering in the final room, fire off the right side of the screen, and kill her.

Thank you very much for listening to us and doing all these updates, Arkeus! I really appreciate your efforts and I'm really looking forward to playing more of your games in the future.

If it helps on the map clearing glitch, it appears to be an issue in saving the map after the final fight. I recently beat the game and it wiped my map of everywhere I had been in the last play session. Although the way some people are describing it, there might be another fault somewhere (or another way to access the same fault?).

This is a pretty good game, although like others of the genre it becomes annoying having to search every corner of the map looking for that one damn key. I did like the final boss though, and the music reminded me of the music in the old Donkey Kong Country games. :D

This game is nicely put together, but the map is waaaaay too large. There's too much to backtrack and with the map only showing the land and colored doors, finding the crystals is a hell of a chore. And like wahming, I also died and had the game crash, unable to load my save. It seems there's still a couple of bugs that need to be addressed and I hope you get to them soon. I thought your Diamond Hollow series was great, so I know you'll get this fixed. 3/5

Great and fun game, but when I continued to try and find the last fragment, the map had reset and I had no idea where the fragment could be without re-exploring the WHOLE world, simply to re-map it out. If you could make the map stay, that would be wonderful.

AngryCyc is pretty dead on here. Fireball being your BnB damage until Spire is just very underwhelming. Hearts Cap, no matter how many you manage to pick up (yet still carry over to completion %? Somewhat disappointing). Scouring every last pixel of the map is really aggravating. I almost quit when I missed a small jump (even with every Jump Powerup available) going to one of the gates and had to make a 2minute detour to get back to where I was, because jumping back up was impossible. Poor map balancing... just.. Meh.

Completed slightly over half the game (I assume so, having defeated the first lady boss), suddenly I died and the game crashed while trying to load my save. After refreshing the page, it still can't load up my saved game. I spent hours getting to there >.<
Bug happened in the left side of the map unlocked by teal key, fwiw.

seeing as how iv been searching for things for the past 20 minits im going to leave now.. this got boring as soon as it turned into a scavenger hunt

can you fix the double jump the timing requirement makes it nearly impossible for me to execute it. 90% I only jump once. other wise decent game 3/5 make the fix and you have 4/5

Umm... maybe if you had some way of us knowing where we need to go, and where the power ups are? I have been everywhere I can go, and nothing else is available...

I really enjoy the game, it's expansive, but not in a bad way. However, I died, and flash froze before I respawned. I refreshed and loaded, and it froze again. Not sure what's causing it, but I can't finish the game now :\ Looking forward to a fix, really wanted to go through the whole thing.

Hey, Arkeus, why don't you tell us what browser/flash/OS version you are running, and I'll see if I can re-create the loading-happening rather than you recreate the loading-failing. Maybe it is a flash bug, maybe it is a saving bug. Let's find out. PM/email me or just reply to this comment if you're game.
The combinations I've tried it on: 64 bit Windows 7 and 32 bit Windows 7, dev channel of Chrome and normal channel of Chrome, Firefox 10, and using both flash player 10.1 (outside of the browser) and 11 (in browser). My main testing set up is Windows 7 x64 + Dev Chrome + Flash Player 11 though.

I killed the first boss at the same time that I got killed by it, and now the key that was in a sphere in the room is gone...

it goes to a black screen with music when I push continue, doesn't go anywhere else, sometimes crashes flash. the music isn't gameplay music, though, it's menu music.

I liked the game. The size is great but I would like some sort of fast travel. Like if you are on one save crystal you can travel to any you have been before. Possible upgrade to the map (or find upgrades). Also when you get hit by an enemy it keeps lava from killing you even though the lava is an instant kill. This may or may not be a glitch. Overall 5/5.

Got all power ups, boss defeated, golden slime is a smear on my boots, one shard left to pick up and me n' kitty are outta here. Game crashes. Game was updated, apparently. Alright, irritating, but ok. Reload, hit continue, black screen... Ok... wait for it... firefox freezes. Flash crashes. Screams of madness are heard from somewhere nearby and something terrible creeps up beside me. Chrome is loaded, game is loaded, continue is hit... darkness blankets our world and the horror beside me lunges; my game is lost. The evil wizard's manical laughter is heard as I am compelled to hit 'new game.' Two hours of my life are then sucked from me, and devoured by another Flixel game.

where is the secret path to the jump orb that is above the room with the black key? I've tried above it below it the little areas to the right, the room to the left and can't find it :(

A little while after hitting level 40 my game froze and flash player became unresponsive. Now everytime I try and continue I get a black screen and it crashes my flash player in google chrome.

The map shouldnt reset when you leave the game. It gets annoying to go back and forth to the website to look at the map and look back to the game constantly when im totally lost
