Went from 5/5 to 1/5 because after gathering the black key, if you dont have enough jump/speed upgrades you're stuck and cant get out. Really need to fix that issue.

Thanks for the great comments guys. Based on your feedback, I've made the following changes/fixes: Deaths count correctly, Speed orb typo fixed, Fixed inability to charge spells after level 80, Damage now scales much faster with level, Spinners are now vulnerable to all spells after level 60, Blocks are now killable after level 40, Fixed shock being displayed as gust.
I have not yet been able to reproduce the crashing or the world map resetting when you load your game, so I've been unable to fix them. Still working on tracking down the problem though.

For people having trouble with the difficulty in killing enemies: Use either Gust (4) or Spire (6), they shoot fast and hit hard. If you can't aim, use water (2) or shock (5) as shotgun blasts when charged. Finally, don't worry about dying. Except for the top right corner, there are save points everywhere. And with 6+ hearts you can pretty much run from one save to the next without worrying about killing anything. Just suck it up and hunt for more power ups, the entrances are in pretty obvious places throughout.

The lightning spell should be activated the way that you aimed it because it doesn't it mostly goes behind you and when you get the choice of any other spell they mostly fire where you aimed so the transition is greatly terrible to deal with.

Lol leveling up reduces the charge time to cast. and increases the damage (at level 58 its practilly INSTA CASt power thing)

killing things with a drop of water, plus if you csn click fast enough with the douse spell above you your invincable!

I'm constantly wondering around the map having no clue where to go, I go from one end to another and back and forth. It's kind of frustrating

OK looks like I have a save that always crashes Firefox's plugin container on load, so I can't continue where I left off. I'm not going to start over so I guess that's the end of this game. Too bad :/

This game is easy, and the game size is fine. Everything but difficulty curve of it being way to easy makes this a great game. Still gets a 5/5 from me. Favorited

Fun game and all, but polishing up the map would be a great help. Took me forever to figure out where the last place to go was. Ended up being one jump upgrade short, and 2 crystals. I know where the last jump upgrade is(southeast corner of the map) but I cannot find a way into it. I've tried everywhere. And I never did find the 6th spell. Is it tied to the crystal pieces? 4/5

I thought the game was great. Brought me back to my childhood with the simple game-play but amped it up all the different spells and collectibles. Definitely look forward to future work.

Great game, I like this platformer, however it seems to be a little too long... It did however bring back a little memory of Super Metroid. 2d fun, exploring Zebes getting upgrades, only in this game, you are exploring some unknown world. I did however have some problems with the magic spells, they just didnt seem to creative. Overall though it was a great game that kept me entertained for an hourish, and earned a 4/5.

good game i just felt my character was very weak the leveling up didn't seem like it was doing anything i agree with a lot of people this game could have been much better

This game is way too big.You cant advance without finding more keys,or upgrades,so might I suggest giving us teleport portals,an objective list or an upgrade that lets us find things easier?

*Me* Oh lookie a punch upgrade, *spends 30 minutes trying to get it* Oh well, I'll never get it :( *5 minutes later* This can freeze water??? Idea Has!!!

Would be nice if the ice in particular did something to make it worth using over anything else in battle. Water is a little OP, but kind of nice that's it's the water skill of all things... hah. That said, I had a fun time overall... and then I had to leave. Continued... and while the map reset was bothersome, when I continued again it ran into all sorts of flash bugs and crashes and can't even continue again. With those ironed out and a little more polish this game would be amazing- it's already quite good for little time spent. Good luck with the next one!

There's too much crap and too much running back and forth through those damn blocks. A for effort, E for arbitrary crap.

Nice game - I like the power-ups, controls, mute-able music, etc. Some issues - 1) Would like indication on map where things are to reduce aimless wandering. 2) Map doesn't save when going out to main menu then back. 3) Game does not save on page reload - frustrating to lose progress. Might go back and try again, but probably not. Looking forward to a sequel, though!

Tip for anyone tired of messing with all the invincible enemies while finding the last items: don't worry. there are the save points all over the place, that fill your health. Just charge on through, shooting randomly, and you'll be fine.

My charging time got bugged after level 80. Now, I can't use charged attacks. Great.
Anyway, it lacks sense of direction and I felt a little lost most of the time, but it is a pretty decent game. 3/5
I'm still unable to reproduce this bug. The map always saves for me, regardless if I exit to menu or refresh. I'm still looking into what would be causing it for players.

Was enjoying the game until my save became corrupt and wouldn't load. I like the metroid-vania feel, but the map needs improvement to show areas that you've actually been too, not just explored. The level system is redundant and needs something like a talent tree or ways to upgrade your abilities via leveling.

one annoying glitch is that the map resets when you defeat the final boss. now i dont even know where ive been, and finding anything i missed is now impossible

Actually, quite a bit of fun! But I do agree with AngryCyc: we should have some sort of compass that tells us where stuff is. Perhaps that wacko wizard drops it when you defeat him.
