Dungeons with hidden secrets all over the place...using gems as currency...the hero never speaking...that heart system...they all remind me of a certain video game...I just can't put my finger on it..hmmm

Great game, 5/5. I could sit here and explain why this game is so great, but it speaks for itself. Personally, the only small additions I could think of are possibly progress bars for achievements (For example, so you know how many crates you have left to break etc.) and maybe some powerups in runner mode. Still, wonderful game, keep up the great work.

You won't need the Rebound. Prime is the best gun, with quick attacks and massive DPS, losing only to a *point blank* Spreader (this is ignoring Crits and Bounces). Spreader is great for cleaning up masses of foes, and is needed for Runner mode. Missile is required for Boss 4 (amoeba's) orange/red forms, but Prime's often better. Prime's Twin and Critical abilities give it immense firepower, while the rapid firerate makes both bonuses super strong. Don't bother with Spread's focus until the end, the extra bullet upgrade helps a lot though and is required for Runner. Btw, I mean it when I say max the first two out. Max power on Spreader lets you OHKO everything until 1500m. Max Prime tears everything apart. Get speed on the Missile before power, Absorb helps a lot on Boss 4, Shrapnel lets it hit random foes. Missiles can break sawblades, making the final Boss much easier. However, just break the saw and proceed to Prime 'em down.

THIS GAME...its quite fun...it has the passage-searcher light from Super-Metroid...the slimes look like the rockys sprite from the Kirby series...and the whole concept is fun...

Ok, so diamond hollow was great, but this... this is LEGENDARY! I can't believe that such a simple game as diamond hollow could be transformed into a giant game with several chapters, different modes, and simple, addicting gameplay. 5 stared it after about 2 mins of playing. Keep making games! Can't wait to see what else you're working up! :)

Love this game; great graphics, upgrades and bosses. Only thing is more checkpoints. The number of rage quits because I have to trudge all the way back to where I was because I dipped a boot in a lava pool I've had is immense.

Great game! I played it for probably eight hours today. That flappy bird minigame though--I used it to grind for diamonds, but it isn't an easy minigame. XD I like all the references. Nice difficulty curve once you have stuff leveled up. The earlier part of the game is kind of slow and has a sharp difficulty spike.

'Hm, I wonder how long it takes for me to find all the hidden gems.' Sees a slime hoping into a wall and disapearing. 'Well, that's one.'

What a nice game!! And how can you see your achievements? I love these names and I wanted to discover them again but I can't find any screen with my achievements..

Great game. It gets a little grindy post-story-mode, levelling up the rest of the weapon points so that you can do better at the remaining achievements, etc. Maybe something like "completing story mode cuts remaining upgrade costs in half" or something would tune that out a bit? Some the achievements are quite epic. I still haven't been able to get the 1.5K/2K escapes, and I don't know if I'll even bother trying heroic boss run, given how rough the regular one was with full upgrades. The Snail boss with no damage achievement was one of my favorites, it took a while before the correct strategy finally sunk in for me. Don't try to do it by actually jumping around randomly and evading fire. Think smart, look for the right places to hide that will give you the slow and steady win, with the right weapon equipped for defensive purposes.

i've got an idea for Diamond Hollow III: 2 months after escaping the cave, everyday remembering the last words of the gun before killing humans again, the professor attacks the kid's village and make the enemies burn the kid's house, the kid grabs the first thing he finds: a stick, then he starts the quest for getting in the lab, defeat the professor and rescue the gun...

wouldn't the hardest enemies be at the bottom? after all, the prof doesn't want peope to see his experiments, would he

I didnt get my hard badge but after i refreshed it gave it to me. So for those that are complaining refresh page and then click the boss run. It should give it to you

I actually found the secret passages easy to find. It's easy to guess where the programmer would put them. See a bare patch of wall next to a fairly big area of dirt? It's probably a secret passage.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
two things. 1. If you don't get the medium badge awarded to you, refresh the page. 2. Something about having enemies that randomly drop onto you seems unfair in escape mode, don't you agree?

epic game! so much upgrades, secret passages, incentives to replay levels.
tipp for runners mode: get maxed spread gun and triple jump shoes, then leave mouse in the middle of the screen and just focus on jumping. tipp for boss mode: get as many extra hearts as possible, it's way easier if you just get close up to the boss and blow his brains out (while suffering a few hits) instead of dodging every single projectile or enemy. for extra hearts, wait until the last level and replay every level with the x-ray.

hmmm... so the evil scientist has put me in this cave system..... (10 minutes later) There has got to be a hidden elevator or staircase SOMEWHERE....

A great game overall- technically better than the original- but I do miss the original soundtrack. It was upbeat and unbelievably awesome. Best music I've heard in an arcade game.

This game kinda destroys the original concept of 'scroll up quick or die', and grue seemed to me a better name than the ever-generic slime, but I love the new music, storyline, length (man, the old one was really short) and items. This is a great game!

I have found that the rebound gun is the best gun for finding the secret passages. it's easy to notice that they stop bouncing and go through the wall.
