how many minutes does it take before you get the secret path? I've waited almost 50 sec without anything happening despite not shooting. does that also mean I can't accidentally hit anything during that time?

Why are people still making games where half of gameplay is chasing down loot drops before they disappear? This is just one of those obnoxious things that nobody likes but developers keep insisting on doing for some stupid reason.

The secret ending is a bit of a misfeature. "They came in peace; we shot to kill" - unoriginal, but it's a story. "They came in peace; we didn't fire; they enthusiastically kamikazed into us and started shooting" - you what?

shady: 1) first off earth doesn't only consist of americans, their would be non-americans on those ships... trying to be anti-america you were anti-other races.........2) by the storyline you fired first (exept for secret ending, but warping looks like killing if you don't have the tech to warp...)......3) i've heard things of someone wanting to join america before trying to blow up an embassy, i'm not saying americans don't, it's just not americans that do though...

Good game but you maybe want to consider: Boss health bar, The specials you pick up could use a duration bar, but so far 4/5

Wow what a simple game... yet the story is beautiful. Why can't more games implement storylines with a twist. Now I feel like every game I play I guess the ending twist because its not exactly original or it is just so dry that its a 50-50 guess on the ending. I just think that if the ending is going to be handed to you, at least make it beautiful like this.

i feel bad rating it a 3, because i see a lot of potential here. that said, it really feels more a demo than a full version. a really fun demo, but a demo nonetheless. maybe some more upgrades, a deeper story, etc. there's a lot of things you could add to really turn this into a more in-depth experience, but it's definitely off to a good start.

5/5. One suggestion though, It'd be nice if the death screen told me how accurate I was (as in what percentage of my bullets fired actually hit enemies).

hellknight33, I know what you did, you hit the ` key (key next to 1 if you're on a laptop, shifts to ~) hitting the key again will fix it. happens on a lot of games actually.

These guys aren't friendly at all, they're attacking repeatedly for minutes on end with giant cannons and suicide bombing me. They were actively trying to kill me for a very long period of time while I tried to run and dodge them. I don't feel bad about killing them, their message was obviously a decoy to slaughter the player's people.

I think I'm supposed to say what I twist, and I admit I was slightly shocked, but the longer the NASA guy went on, the less dramatic it became. In other words, you should cut the ending message a little shorter, or make it change a little.

I don't remember what I did, but I believe I turned on a debug mode of some sorts, with hardware specs appearing all over the screen. other than that, great game.

It seems very likely that NASA, an American space program, would send out "defense drones" that attack anything that moves, even when on the edge of death... Video games, showing us just how violent we Americans are... XD

I had a laugh when I went to look at Ludum Dare 25's theme after playing this game. It fits a bit with how I felt at the end (even though their peaceful defensive drones fail hard).

Maybe punching someone in the face is a from of greeting on that Earth of yours, but on our planet shooting first will not make you many friends.

Once the alternate ending path is started, you have to shoot everything. Your bullets turn into "teleport bullets" (or something)

Very nice game! I came here expecting a simple shooter/bullet hell with not much going for it, and instead got a game with satisfying upgrades, many different difficulties and modes, and alternate endings. I felt pretty satisfied when I got the secret ending. xD Very nicely done. 5/5 from me!
