Under rating threshold (show) Endless mode can get tedious. 40 minutes in, Prince Trey on level 72, screen full of fully upgraded towers, resource matching reduced to an occasional desultory fiddle, monsters coming out with 160K health, getting items with bases stats of 400+... will endless mode never end?

Under rating threshold (show) I think this is one of my new favorite games. I love tower defense, I love games where you have to equip the hero, I love rpgs, and I love puzzle/tetris/matching games. It's like you read my mind and mashed them all together in a highly enjoyable 8bit theater sort of way. Keep up the good work!

Under rating threshold (show) Fantastic game. Just like others stated, it takes too much focus to gather resources than to actually enjoy the tower defense aspect of the game. Instead, perhaps there could be "rounds" in which you first collect as many resources as you can in limited time, then the round begins. Every switch to a different resource field grants you that same limited time to collect resources. Also, you could remove certain resources from later resource fields, so that there are also "phases" in the game where instead of having a ton of wood to collect which is almost wasted in later in the game, it would be removed altogether so that you can only upgrade. This way players could manage their time either trying to build more towers, or upgrading as many as they can.

Under rating threshold (show) If I put two of the same stone on one tower, do their effects stack? For example, if I put two poison stones (500% tower damage over 10 seconds) on one tower, will enemies be poisoned for 1000% tower damage over 10 seconds?

Under rating threshold (show) 5 stars, great game. Alternating between waves and gather/build phases would help. Still, I love the mix of puzzle and TD. Fresh take on a stale genre.

Under rating threshold (show) Awesome concept, great implementation; putting so many aspects together and having it all work so well in the end. One thing that would help, IMO, is a comparison between equipment in your inventory and items you have equipped, as you hover over them, so that you don't have to go back and forth between the two. Even just having your equipped items also pop up windows when you hover over unequipped ones of that type would do it.

Under rating threshold (show) regarding a phase game and keeping the player entertained during the rounds: Give full hero access to the player and allow them to control him during defense phase. Also, what is the point of earning the stars for each level if you don't get a chance to spend them? Maybe you could have hero upgrade unlocks like special attacks or even a spell section like meteor strikes. Great game so far with alot of potential

Under rating threshold (show) @disrighthereismy You might consider trying to read the tutorial. For me, I find they often help explain how mechanics work in most games, and this game is no exception. Or you could close your eyes, click through it as fast as you can, fail to understand even the self-evident mechanics, complain in the comments and then rate it 1/5. Whichever makes you happier.

Under rating threshold (show) I wish there was a way to turn off birds. I see movement headed towards my tower and panic and have to take attention away from gem matching to determine what the movement is, wasting time. Other than that solid game, shame it's so short.

Under rating threshold (show) Good game, rated 4 stars, I know it was made in 48 hours, would like to see more time put into it, to make it more challenging for a start. Every level is exactly the same, match several woods, place several swift towers at strategic places, level up, do that 8 times. How is that a Hard badge.

Under rating threshold (show) I'm on a Mac running 10.7, and this game, as well as several others on here (maybe 1 in 20?) run really slowly in Chrome, but beautifully in Opera. It seems to be matters involving mouse movement, but nothing else. Any idea what might be going on? It seems to be specific to Mac 10.7's Chrome, so I wouldn't suggest running out and changing anything, but I'm hoping Chrome fixes it soon

Under rating threshold (show) This is really well done and very entertaining. I love what you've done here and the ability to pause the wave to check on my buildings or switch them around as needed is really nice. It makes it more about strategy and less about twitch clicking abilities.

Under rating threshold (show) Very fun. We've been seeing a bunch of gem-swap match 3 games recently, so the row-sliding style comes as welcome variety. The "gotta match em all" achievement seems a little off. I fulfilled the requirements of the achievement, but I wonder if having all 24 matched tiles be of the same type is an unwritten requirement? Mine were 16 of one kind and 8 of the other. I don't want to fuss with trying to get 24 of one kind in one move... so the mystery remains.

Under rating threshold (show) suggest a visual timer? since there are 4 "phases" let us see how long each "phase" has left? forest.. cave.. etc.. it'll also help to estimate WHEN to upgrade towers. or an audio cue like "Prince!, we are moving on into the cave!"

Under rating threshold (show) The idea and the indent is quite good, I like all of the different components. However, too much is going on to fully enjoy the game, which made it, at least for me, rather annoying. One has to take care of the resources, the towers, the hero, then micromanage the stones and the equipment, and that all at the same time. Too much is going on and I would really like to focus on every single object. I like the game, but it's too frustrating for me to play it.

Under rating threshold (show) What would also be nice is an option to turn off the bullet graphics, or some other way to reduce lag. Getting to hero level 119 in an Endless ended up making my game lag pretty bad near the end, even though it was fine on all the normal maps.

Under rating threshold (show) Fast paced and fun. The only critique I have is that sometimes when I'm gathering resources I see the birds in my peripheral vision and mistake them for creatures getting to close to the base. I don't know if that was intentional and that's fine if it is but I felt it was worth mentioning.

Under rating threshold (show) Actually really enjoying this. Played the first two story missions, then one on Endless. Only complaint is that Kong badges seem to be bugged, including the one that's BotD this week. Have Trey at 13 in Story and survived ~12 minutes in Survival, neither badge unlocked. That's more on Kong's end, though, I think-- the game itself is excellent.

Under rating threshold (show) I don't know if the dev is still active, but I think this would work much better on mobile/touchscreen/tablet. I'm always sliding just a little too far based on the puny matching window size. Or possibly 3DS since dual screens where bottom could be the matching window. Odd mix but A+ effort, lotta thought put into how the two elements interact. I think 5 might be a little too large a requirement for mouse matching. One way to alleviate that might be to make freeze and slow stones a more common drop when starting a stage, giving you time to get the bigger and stronger towers into place and running up to speed. It's a shame you can't customise/build maps also, this style seems like it would lead to a lot of 'one single tweak makes this stage winnable' strategies, like how Elements does with cards.

Under rating threshold (show) I just played this game and got by hard mode from levels 1-8 without losing a single life in a go. My Strategy for this is 1. Just keep matching stuff (focusing mainly on wood) until the enemy has gotten past your hero and is at danger 2. I use only 1 sweep tower and 1 swift tower, the rest I spam arrow towers. (You can use other towers as well, doesn't matter) Make use of all your resources and orbs, making sense of them. (Poison orbs go on high damage towers, stun/slow/curse on sweep, damage/etc on swift) 3. Repeat, that is just keep matching stuff until the enemies has gotten to a dangerous point and start using all your resources/equipment/orbs Using this I didn't even have to look at the map other than seeing if the enemies are too close, and I didn't lose a single life. So the focus for me is just keep matching.
