when i fell in the lava for the first time, EXACTLY in the same moment when i touched the lava i earned the "warm up" achiviement, and of course i was thinking that to unlock that achiviement was to die by lava......

"Running full speed makes you invincible vs. enemies/boulders"...and how do we know when we are running "full speed"?
Also a bit of an abrupt ending...

I finished the badges and thought "good game, but too short". Then I started to go for all the achievements and realised that the game wasn't too short. The badges were. I had some problems with the achievements for basic mode untill I realised to hit the dirt piles. The 10 seconds running full speed was by far the hardest achievement for me. Tip: Use the clocks when you get them. You reach the next clock sooner if you've used the 1 you have. I think there should be a hard badge for getting all the achievements, but it's too late for the game, and it doesn't even have API to track the achievements.

Are the "enemies" really bad? I mean, wouldn't you be hostile towards someone with red skin, ninja suit, horns and elephant ears running at high speed in your direction with a sword?

Fun little game, not terribly difficult to clear in story mode. Not to clutter the comments excessively, but I have to echo some other folks' sentiments and ask if there's some trick to reaching full speed? Can you not use slowdown stopwatches at all? I got the 30 second Untouchable achievement and literally ran to the cave's halfway point unscathed and still didn't have a yellow aura or whatever's supposed to keep me from breaking my face on boulders repeatedly.

Dirt piles are your friends! The boring but practical way to get highscore is to constantly run into them so the game would have low difficulty.

oh my lord I thought the achievement was to beat the story mode without killing enemies, not attacking, so I thought that the one time I accidentally pressed c when trying to jump some spikes wouldn't count since I didn't hit an enemy. Boy was I wrong..... 5/5 game that was my own fault.

Good game, but i would add a few things:
- A Speed-meter
- points for killing enemies and running fast
- moving enemies, which do also attack
- boss fights
- weapons and armors
- customizable controls
- skill tree
- altitude difference (+ wall jump)
click +, so everyone can see it!

Nice game. One flaw is that dirt piles, as has been mentioned, slow you down for free - this is quite a game-breaking mechanic for classic mode. As for the RPG mode, it's over far too quickly, and the skills are gained within two minutes. Leveling up is a cool and rewarding mechanic, but you should be able to use those gathered skills for some sort of highscore mode (like classic, but with the skills). I had all but two skills by the time of first finishing story mode, and there just wasn't any motivation to unlock more skills - what should I use them for, besides beating story mode again?

for such a small simple game, this was amazing, and SO much fun, and like kaelter said, there should be something that tells us our speed, when u get the perk for max spd makes u invulnerable vs enemies/boulders i had no idea how close to max spd i was lol.

It is a pretty good game, though I have to say, it gets almost too easy once you gain the two attacking skills, because once you are a spinning blade ball that shoots a shot of death upon hitting the ground, it is pretty difficult for enemies to hurt you.

This is a fun little cave-runner. The upgrades are an interesting and unique feature. And the "story" from the story mode is hilariously lacking. Good work!

I enjoyed the leveling system to this. It was rather a short game but it was sweet enough to enjoy it and it didn't feel like it was being dragged out by any means.

There is a very important bug, once u complete the first run u can never again really die, u just stand in the same place. You can jump, use the clock and even attack, but there is no option to back to the main menu, you can only respawn by pressing Ctrl

You just created a new genre for gaming -- RPG Runner. Expect lots of people following/improving your work, just like you did for Canabalt.

Every stinking time I got close to being able to run at full speed a stupid boulder would hit me. I beat the game 5 times just trying to see what it was like getting full speed. Not ONCE was able to hit that top speed....stupid boulders....

Normally I hate runners, but this one is actually fun-I think mainly that you get health at all, and upgrades to boot! Normally it's "slam! -> insta-kill" >.<

Just one question: how do I know if I'm running at full speed and have invincibility to boulders and enemies? Either I'm hitting it and the upgrade doesn't work or I'm too slow.

I like how the more you play this, the easier it becomes (as you gain more skills). I also realised how easy it becomes when you notice that running into the boulders slows you without damage. Playing this was a fun 10 minutes!

i never thought i'd be so glad so see a pile of sand... god, i hope that's sand... it's pretty lumpy... and sounded kinda squishy... good thing i've been hitting them with my sword....
