I really don't understand why, when 80% of the population is right-handed, somebody would choose non-configurable controls that sit under the left hand. Why?

i love this game. only problem, and it is a minor problem, is i have no idea what "full speed" is or when i'm at it... a small indicator might be helpful, maybe on the bottom right of somewhere you could put a speedometer or something that flashes when your at full speed

it would be nice to be able to choice control bottons since i am playing at a laptop and the X,C,V being righthanded like i am make my hand lay on mousepad and thats pretty unconftable

My 'x' button is broken and only works if I stab it with a pen/sharp object. Does anyone know of a system or program that allows me to set another key as x?

Very cool, very fun. The only major downfall I see is the lack of an endless story mode, where you keep the skills and go for a high score. The art also kinda bugs me, but that's just my opinion.

So what I am to understand is...He's in a sealed hallway with both ends having a wall and a light, each wall requiring you to go west, with no explanation of how he got in. AWESOME!

Aww that was dissapointing finish for basic run. 1 life since 200 and I jump from flat to lava at 2396 while in slow motion xD
Nice runner. Tho can be quite hard on eyes after a while, but yeh what to expect when just about everything on screen is moving fast. Can be easy cos turds occur so often, but I guess that's so cos of randomness.

What I like:
- Enemies + Canabalt concept
- Clearly a lot of effort went into it
- Overall good
What I don't like:
- Often when I attacked an enemy it felt like I should be hitting him but the game thought I was too late
- Sometimes it felt impossible to avoid some things like boulders right after a dirt pile without double jump
- That's until I found out just running through any dirt pile is the best strategy - this seemed unintended and counterintuitive
Things I think could be done better:
- Tweak the hit boxes to be more lenient. Canabalt has an article on what was done to make the game feel better in this regard http://blog.semisecretsoftware.com/tuning-canabalt
- Tweak the spawning logic so it is always possible to survive the situation (again see above link)
- Floating numbers that pop out of enemies to show me how much XP I just gained.. no time to look at the bottom of the bar while running!

I really like this over canabalt. Canabalt always bugged me how so much of it was based on luck. There were jumps you literally could not possibly make even if you reacted within the tenth of a second you saw them. While this game has less pure luck and more skill to it. The one flaw I think this game has is that the ability to be immune to boulders and enemies at max run speed isn't very useful. Mostly because it takes a -long- time for you to hit max run speed, and by the time you do it's damn hard to actually avoid hitting something that will deal damage and slow you down all the way.

Great game, if anything the only bad part about it is the fact it doesnt have more elements. I really enjoyed the levelling system and seeing how my character looked cooler and cooler as i levelled up and gained useful skills. Maybe incorporate more skills, enemies, and traps as you progress? (Like maybe you have to choose to either have double jump or spin attack when you level up?) Hope you make more games!

nefonjo, if the bridge is right before another obstacle then the rope bridge will let you fall into the lava if you don't dodge the next obstacle, whilst the steel bridge would not.

Also, I am wondering how we are supposed to know we are at max speed for the enemy/boulder immunity skill. There doesn't seem to be anything to say that we are... which makes that talent seem rather useless as trying to use it just makes you likely to suffer.

Anyone remember the IBM PC jr? Or the Commodore 64? Apple II? Play this game if miss those days, or just like wasting time.

neat game overall but a bit to simple right now to have any reason to play it for very long. would love to see things expanded and a real story added. keep up the good work.
