This may be just me, but who else feels like there should be like a "combat music" and "traveling music"? Also like background sound effects. This game is very much fun and these two things are really the only things I can complain about.

Such an awesome game. Also, I wrote the developer a poem...
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sir, we've got to know,
Where is the part two?

I was looking around in the menu and saw an "Enter Cheat Codes" area, and I was like, "There's cheat codes for this game?!"

Great game, with a lot of playability and different items. It would be nice, however, if you had an ending to this part. I don't like spend two hours grinding for a shipmaster to tell me "Part 1 is over...sorry guys." Either finish the game or put some sort of ending so this isn't a complete waste of time.

I have found a glitch:
If u have a full inventory and u go to find the keg of ale in the fields and try and pick it up it disapears for ever and u cant finish the quest

it would be cool if you could state what are the weapons or armour that is sold. for example Studded Jerkin, i wouldn't know if its an armour or helmet or weapon or shield. Good thing is it is higher than my equipped armour when i bought.

pretty good game but such a let down ending, i was hoping to at least have some sort of boss fight or something to end part 1 as opposed to a crappy note in your journal

took time, but finally I found this game; simple and good, nice music, great gameplay (miss sfx? not sure..), balanced and simple equipment, thx!

Good game, kept selling in hopes of buying something decent but never found many items worth buying, so I had gathered gold only to get to the end of the game without spending any of it :P Plus on the ship there was a glitch that wouldn't allow me to take someone quest, every time I entered the room he was in and got near him it automatically opened a screen for him but wouldn't allow me to click any of the options.

HARDLY the funnest game ever lol, wrought with redundancy and grammatical errors (even in the title, Dragon's Quest signifies the ownership of the quest by a dragon, so either the quest should be given to you by a dragon, or you should be a dragon on a quest... neither is the case). The game does not pause when you go into your inventory. You can literally die by doing that and trying to get to a health potion in which case a simple 'belt' with hotkeys for potions and other consumables would remedy nicely. It takes AGES to recover from swinging your weapon. I was often hit twice in the time it took to recover from one swing. The world is linear, combat is dodgy and consumables that are meant to help you survive are impossible to get to without taking hits. Furthermore it takes a VERY long time to level up requiring tons of grinding. On the plus side, the graphics are alright and the music is very nice. I'll give it 2* for design and *cough* effort.

oh yeah, and the guy who gives you your first quest, Bennet Sean, first asks for spider fangs, and when you get them, he says "oh you got the spider legs! Idiot.
