this game is based on precision clicking. So why the hell does it take into account mouse up instead of mouse down. How does that make sense??? Or is is just to be more frustrating?

Hard Badge is the easiest. Crush all castles (don't worry about gold), get the "Super Bomb" reward and then go back in and replay levels where didn't get gold. Most castles- Aim low!! Exceptions are "Famous Castle" and "4 layer". One bomb which is high and to the middle will topple both. Don't forget to let walls settle and people or spikes to finish falling. Many a Princess (and King) was taken out not by the bomb or crumbling walls; insead, a falling Knight stabbed them.

Looking back at this game... wow, the physics were bad! (It's a good thing building materials in the sequel are destructible, unlike here!)

(Walking) What a nice spike. (Stops Walking) I will ask god to put me in between the spike 1 and spike 2 (Starts to pray) Dear father god, plz put me in between the spikes. Amen. (God pick him up) Yay! :) But little does he know these spikes will make for an assisted suicide.The wind blew a little, picked up a leaf, blew it into the spike and killed him.

Definition of Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...... Thanks to the mechanics of this game, I think there is now yet another established scientific law of the Universe that needs to be revised. XD

There is a difference between difficulty and challenge. When something is not easy, it is difficult. When something requires skill, it is challenging. Difficulty without challenge is grueling and pointless, and that sums up this entire game. There is no room at all for any sort of skill. No matter how good you are at predicting where your trebuchet will send the projectiles, the clusters of three, which you never have any reason not to use, will always disperse in a semi-random pattern. On almost every level this translates to click, click, reset, repeat in order to get the gold badge. Coupled with the fact that this game is highly repetitive, there is essentially no entertainment value beyond an elementary schooler's intelligence level, and no reason to play other than the badges.

I was going for a golden badge (2 shots) I used my first shot perfectly and a knight was blown away.... While I was getting ready for the second shot, the flying knight intercepted my Bomb and I lost.... Karma is a bitch

I wish there was a gold coin symbol by the castles I have crushed and got gold to make it easier to find out which ones are left for me to crush to get the hard badge

You could wait until you get the super bomb to gold all the castles. Or you could just gold them all the way up and never replay a single one of them ever.
