once you obtain the superbomb for destroying all the castles getting gold medals is easy. After you get all all gold you become unstopable...

There should be an achievement for finishing the entire game with 1 shot per castle. I suggest "Uberlord of the Galaxy" as a fitting title.

With all these castles made entirely of steel beams, someone should start loading the trebuchet with jet fuel instead of stones!

Sometimes the people don't even get hit, they just die from moving too fast. Imagine if people nowadays did that, places like Cedar Point and Six Flags would have lawsuits up to their necks.

The problem with many of these castles is the amount of people. There is a component of chance in this game and with so may people it can be very frustrating to hit the last one.

There is a difference between difficulty and challenge. When something is not easy, it is difficult. When something requires skill, it is challenging. Difficulty without challenge is grueling and pointless, and that sums up this entire game. There is no room at all for any sort of skill. No matter how good you are at predicting where your trebuchet will send the projectiles, the clusters of three, which you never have any reason not to use, will always disperse in a semi-random pattern. On almost every level this translates to click, click, reset, repeat in order to get the gold badge. Coupled with the fact that this game is highly repetitive, there is essentially no entertainment value beyond an elementary schooler's intelligence level, and no reason to play other than the badges.

I love how when a royal is standing on a platform, if it moves just the slightest bit, their chest explodes in a display of gratuitous gore.
It's incredibly gratifying.

"The king and queen have been found dead in their chambers, the only room still intact.
We suspect they poisoned each other in some form of suicide pact, as they were found hugging each other"

Once you beat the game and unlock the single super bomb, it's easy to go back and crush other castles you didn't get gold on. Once you get ALL gold medals and unlock super bomb cluster, it is SO satisfying to go back and use it on castles that gave you trouble before, and watch them get pulverized by super bomb clusters.

Looking back at this game... wow, the physics were bad! (It's a good thing building materials in the sequel are destructible, unlike here!)

Hmm... I would really like to get people like this for my guards... no matter what flies in their path, they will stand still.. very brave :P

so i know i have a sick sense of humor but am i the only one that wish the people died more interestingly?? like if they smushed more?? that would make this a 7 star game.

On Hatsworth Castle, I managed to fling a body back to my trebuchet. This fully stopped the trebuchet from working correctly. I actually see this as a testament to the physics of this game. Well done! 5/5.

always, always, ALWAYS those damned sealed rooms at the bottom of the castel! Does anyone have a little bit of creativity?

Frankly, I dislike Crush the Castle specifically, because it uses a hard-to-target trebuchet instead of pinpoint targeting. I come to play for casual fun, not for amateur recreation of medieval siege engineer hardship.
