I have honestly no idea what's going and and how I should control the hedgehog. As soon as it starts going up a bit, it already wants to go down without a chance to control it.

To get the hard badge, just buy 2 height, 1 width, and 1 elasticity, pull your hedgehog into the bottom left corner of the screen, and restart until you get several hundred. Then buy radar (at least level 2), fuel, emergency rocket, and fuel leech in that order of importance. Keep trying until until the stars align and you're golden! +

3 DAYS OR LESS. 1rst day: Buy 2 height and 1 fuel. When launching, move the hedgehog to the bottom left corner so it launches diagonally. With some tryouts and a bit of luck you will get about 2k. 2nd day: Buy full radar (1.000$), fuel sucker (Maximum you can buy minus 1, so if you can but 3 fuel sucker, then buy 2) and spend the rest in rocket fuel. Launch the same way as day 1. Now look at the radar to get as high as possible. 3rd day: Buy full fuel sucker, almost full launcher (Height, width and band), almost full rocket fuel, almost full left and right rockets and spend the rest in e-rockets (Up key to boost upwards). Now must be easy to reach Mars.

If you read the letter at the start you'd know you're supposed to be travelling through the centre of the earth and then going into the air. So pulling down with the mouse per the instructions is counter-intuitive, but still correct. Ready the backstory next time :3

It's a learn to fly-esque game that fails in many levels. the badge contradicts the game (Since you need to grind to obtain money to go farther, you most likely won't be able to go to Mars on the 20th day) and it's a luck based game. 'nuff said.

I have literally done over 15 launches where I just fall back down because there are no platforms or money anywhere near me. I usually love distance games but this is pure crap.

The first time, I never saw the moon, kept going up and up and up till well beyond 300,000 feet before I thought this just can't be right. All in story mode too. Hoping I wasn't making a mistake I restarted the game. This time, I was going to find out what that little circle is all about in the map. BINGO!...the moon. Than I went on to Mars...in 2 days. It's amazing how fast I can finish the game when I pay attention.

Upgraded the LAUNCHER to max and reached Mars directly. In 9 days of course. The most potential upgrades I used are fuel, fuel sucker and radar. You need to be very lucky with heigh reached and platforms to reach Mars in 3 days. Maybe hitting those purple platforms is the key. I will not try it. good luck.

I just got the hard badge.
This is what i did:
Day 1: upgrade launcher (2,1,1). Drag the launcher all the way to the bottom left. GET LUCKY, hit as many colored bars as possible to get height for point gold multipliers.
Day 2: Upgrade level 2 radar and put the rest in rocket tank (+ left and right if you got more money. Use the radar to help aim for the bars. I reached the moon + a bit more on this round. (also had lots of luck)
Day 3: Max fuel tank + radar. Then sped the rest on left+right rocket, and the launcher. I got 1 point in fuel sucker, but when i reached mars, i had pretty much full tank, so not sure if it's needed or not. REACH MARS!

Damn. Got ~$7,400 on my first day, did anything what Snapshot103 said, reached the moon on the second day and were soooooooo close to Mars, but then my luck left me. Most of the time only blue platforms on my way and most of the time I missed them >_< Reached Mars on my fourth day

Day 9: Reached Mars, sent out Sgt. Hedgehog again for a test flight.
It's been 17 minutes, and I haven't touched the controls in 5. I think he's up there forever now.

Made it in 2 days. Damn that feels good..so good. That's one of the most satisfying badges I've gotten in a very long time. It probably took me 60 tries. Basically you need to get 15/1600 the first day like Snapshot said. Then put money into radar and fuel. The only reason I was able to make it on day 2 was because of that. It took me 12 minutes of bouncing, rising and falling. There were many times when I had fallen so far I thought I'd never make it back. But seeing what platforms were where, and having the fuel to keep going for so long is what allowed me to make it. IMO Fuel is the most important thing. The E rocket doesn't guarantee anything. I used it twice and ended up falling back down. But with so much fuel I was able to just keep it barley going and find enough platforms to make it.

this game looks pretty weird considering the real pictures and how you go through a resteraunt or whatever it is. btw WHY DOES THE SLINGSHOT HAVE TO BE UPSIDE DOWN!!! + if you agree that the slingshot should be right side up!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Left-firing rocket = rocket on YOUR left = rocket on the hedgehog's RIGHT = rocket that sends the hedgehog to the RIGHT of the screen.
Seriously bad choice of wording there. -_-

For those who are wondering why the launcher is upside-down: the humor behind the game is that you launch the 'hog through a hole drilled through the center of the earth and out of Nebraska. So you would launch him down, through the Earth, then he would carry on upwards on the other side. It says all that in the document at the start of the game, sheesh.
