After some umpteen refreshes I managed to fluke $6041.99 day 1. You have to get very lucky and manage to keep hitting platforms. I just went str8 up and the full rocket to the right and let it run. Managed to get into space in 4 days! More likely to win the lotto jackpot than repeat that effort ever.

I GOT THE ACHEIVEMENT!!! just keep perseveraring and don't waste fuel, it only took me half an hour from rediscovering the game

Entirely luck based game, might as well had a game where you roll a 1000 sided die and get a hard badge for rolling 784

Got lucky on the first day by hitting gold bars over and over. This game all seems to be down to luck, unfortunately.

Don't be hatin', but the hard badge really isn't that bad. Start off like the other guys say "2 band, 2 launcher". I only earned like $200 the first day, but I put it all back into band. I then launched straight up again. The key is getting straight up or move ever so slightly sideways so you can see platforms going up and know where they are at coming down. Next max out parachutes then maybe one E-rocket then max out band and launcher. I was done in four days easily. The hardest part is starting on a day where there are a lot of platforms straight up from eachother, but as long as you find that in day 1, 2 or 3 you really don't need to reset every day (it's still a lot of luck, though!). Hope this helps. I got the first two badges in 2009 and come back every once in a while. This new strategy got me the hard badge in only 3 resets (and I was done in 6 and 7 days on two of the tries).

There is an easy way to get the hard badge on the first day. Pull the hedgehog straight down then zoom out and pull him down a bit more and repeat until you cant zoom in anymore and release. Plus this too keep it alive.

so i tried to get the hard badge for this a year ago , and i tried again today.. do you think the saying that as you get older you get wiser? yeah, i got wiser and i finally... gave the hell up trying to get that badge because its impossible.

If you are going for the hard badge it's really important to get at least $500 dollars on day 1. It may take a lot of restarts but eventually you will get enough bumpers and money that, when multiplied by hangtime, will give you at least $500.

Had to achieve this two times, because you can't get the screenshot of the final screen (since you can't know the achievement will not be awarded). Anyway, after you get how this is done, it is just a matter of luck :)
