I have feeling that the mother does love you because if you let the escape time go past zero it will start going into the negatives, + so people can see.

Got 100% completion on first try ^.^
Though I don't understand why some points are only reachable with full power-ups while there is nothing there :/ (Camera 18 for example, upper right corner)
Good game though, even in 2015 :)

Let me try to guess what happened:
I think the flesh and blood mother miscarried, killing herself and sending her husband into a depression ending in death. the mother had somehow had her consicousness transferred into a computer.
The game echoes how it may feel like to be in a mother's womb. It seems like a very unnatural place with fluids and other lifeforms, beneficial microbes that humans cannot live without, floating around.
If so, the robots escape mirrors the tension before a woman gives birth. The body is forcing the woman to give birth as fast as possible causing her extreme pain, shown witht he splodely thingies during his escape.
the music was top-knotch and well timed, 5/5.

I first played this game through on the original site earlier this year but I'm thrilled to replay it here, I love the soundtrack and nostalgic gameplay so. Weird thing happened though: I just got the "escape" badge and I... didn't escape yet? Not even close. I haven't even shot the core thingy yet (which is where I am now). I was taking my time finding all the letter cards and just happened to pick up the last one (for me) in the *red* area, totalling 100%. So I suppose on here the trigger is to get 100% then, and not actually escaping? Interesting. xD

I truly fell in love with this as soon as I hit 75% item completion. The subtle changes in the music really came together in that moment.

For the high score "Best Time", it doesn't actually record your time. Instead, it's your final score, so the higher, the better in fact.

I like this game but its a little bit confusing... You can easily get lost in the maze of the begining. But the game itself is and looks awesome.

Eh. I enjoyed the game, but found the jump function REALLY hard to work. For example, one of the early levels where you had to jump over several "fast forward" platforms over spikes, I literally lost 50+ lives and almost gave up. The timing just seemed like it was a split-second different every time I tried it. Also on the fan levels, 95% of the time I would get stuck midway in the fan stream, and it always just seemed like it was blind luck if I actually got to the top. Maybe it just didn't want to play nice with my computer? Other than that it was a super fun game! I really hope that KOLM 2 performs better, I'm going to give it a try.

There needs to be an option to change the keys. My 'z' key gets stuck sometimes. Can you imagine what this would be like with that!!

I'm in the camera 23 room in the 2nd area where there's that guy that shoots and kills you. I don't have the golden gun yet, I don't have double jump, I can't kill him no matter what and I can't jump to the ledge on his left to go to the next room so I can't proceed. the room where I came from (camera 21 room) is a one way room since you can't jump while crouching so basically I am stuck in the game and have no option but to restart it.

*SPOILER ALERT* Lol, since the beggining i thought it was like metroid, the colored doors, the different shots needed, the ''collect items to access new areas'' style, even the enemies... and since that i thought with myself ''lol, don't tell me the name of this game stands for ''Kind Of Like Metroid'''', and, when i reached the end i was like ''LOL''

I can duck, but how do I then move? Is there an extra item I have to find to slide, or did I miss a button-hint there? I'm stuck and would need to progress through low areas, no matter where I go.
